  1. This one would have been. Not mention was ever made of it in the election campaign previously.
  2. Can you cite a source of recent example of the Harper government bringing up the sponsorship scandal? They have a majority and the Liberals are the third party. I doubt Harper will give them much thought until they elect a new leader.
  3. Yeah OK Yet No mention was made of even considering a coalition during the election about a month earlier. Only when the Harper government wanted to yank their funding did they want to take over the government. To think that the country rebuked the policies of Stephane Dion so harshly during the election but he could still be the PM propped up by two other parties seemed so anti-democratic. Which is why, after giving them a break the coalition fell a part. Ironically, I remember the late Jack Layton was so critical of Iggy after backing down on that coalition yet 2 years later he ended up taking over from the Liberals as opposition.
  4. Whoa!!! I thought you were Left of Black Dog until you posted that.
  5. You could say the US Civil war was an attempted Coup
  6. They'd love you right now in Greece.
  7. I think he's implying that Canada should have a Coup d'etats because he hates the Harper Government. The attempted takeover by the Liberals/NDP/Bloc in 2008 seemed kinda Coupish to me.
  8. It's not the most popular sport in Canada but there is a Canadian team(Crappy one), a few Canadian players. It is a sport invented by a Canadian. Things aren't looking good for an NBA season this year. They've already canceled the first two weeks of the season. Same stuff with any labour dispute. Players want more, Owners are crying poor. When you compare the NBA to say the NFL, the owners have a point. Marginal NBA player can make upwards of $10 million a season while some of the best young NFL players don't even make a million, in a sport where the average career is much shorter and the revenues are much larger. The Owners have themselves to blame for that however. The NHL lockout has done absolutely nothing to curb player salaries. The Salary Cap has gone up exponentially since since the lockout and the minimum salary is difficult for some of the lower tiered teams to meet, especially in this economy. So who's going to miss Professional Basketball if the season is cancelled?
  9. 3., Harper prorogued parliament at the beginning of the 2008 financial meltdown to save his own ass with no regards to the very fragile economy yet Air Canada is a bigger threat to the economy should the workers go on strike? Yeah because PM Stephane Dion and Deputy PM Jack Layton supported by the BQ would have been sooooo much better for the economy.
  10. Says nothing about Carbs or refined sugars. They're taxing all forms of proteins. It'll end up just being a tax on the poor. Lean proteins are more expensive. I bet they won't lower the price of healthier foods. Totally wrong-head approach if you ask me. Won't ever happen in North American, I don't think.
  11. I'm so glad that seat count didn't hit 54. I couldn't bare to see Daddy Dalton have another 4 years of unfettered power. At least now he sort of has to listen other people and can't just lie without accountability. If Hudak wants to win he needs to move to the right.
  12. IKYABWAI! BTW if I was Bill Blair, I'd probably quit. I disagree with how he's being treated, it's not his fault his departments budget is 85% salary and bennies.
  13. Didn't take long http://static.fjcdn.com/pictures/Steve+Jobs+casket+Idk+if+someones+already+posted+this+or_ae822e_2700224.jpg
  14. I use both. I own a PC at home and work on a mac everyday. Mac's are very user friendly but the price doesn't justify the ease of use and the awesome OS. People who think Apple's are the greatest thing ever just drink the koolaid. I'm looking at getting a new puter to do Graphic arts at home. I just looked in the Staples flyer. They're selling an All-in-One Acer (similar to an iMac) with 6 gb of Ram and a Tb of HD space. A base model iMac with 4 gb and a half a T of HD space costs upwards of $1,500. I'm sorry but re-sale quality doesn't make up that difference in price. I give mac it's due, but these people that think anything that isn't mac is crap are tiresome.
  15. Hank Williams Jr. makes an unfortunate comparison to Obama and Hitler and his long time jingle for Monday Night Football is immediately yanked. How many times has the previous president been compared to Hitler?
  16. And McGuinty's word is about as good as what? Bre-Ex Stock?
  17. I would think a Coalition would be a real possibility. Say Hudak wins a minority what would stop McLiar from forming a coalition with the NDP? It's happened before.
  18. So they want to try this in Toronto. Who wants to bet that CUPE is going to lead the rallying cry for Occupy Bay Street? Which is hilarious that public service unions who are among the more privileged people in this country would protest. The people who really should protest are too busy working. I understand why they're doing it in the US where poverty and unemployment are far more systematic as well as the fact that the Super Rich have far more influence. Not so much here.
  19. Sorry, lost in translation. Saying "This" meant to indicate I agree with your post.
  20. This You telling me a degree in Art History or Communications makes one somehow a better contributor to society than a construction worker, welder or even an electrician?
  21. Being a Kittens ERRRR Lions fan has clearly made you very sensitive.
  22. You're assuming Ontario voters are rational people. The polls would indicate otherwise.
  23. Didn't stop them from signing that idiotic Samsung Deal
  24. I don't hear anyone defending Dalton McLyingPoopface. All I hear is that Hudak will be worse and stupidness like that. He's Mike Harris 2.0
