  1. It'll be fun to immediately interact with other users when something live is going on. Also this way Shady, Bubber and Punked can stop using the Status updates as their debating ground to discuss the US Election.
  2. Oh I found it, it goes top to bottom instead of bottom to top.
  3. WOW! Really Spiffy. Will the chat function be up and running soon? I can't seem to update my status using the sidebar like before.
  4. The third season of BE is about 4 episodes in. I'm really enjoying it. This Rosetti guy is a pretty merciless antagonist. I can't really see this dispute between him and Nucky ending without a huge gun fight. Nucky killing the kid that was robbing him was pretty bad ass. It's actually a pretty humane way of executing someone. Making them think they'll be fine then BANG! it's over. A lot better than setting an execution date and letting the person countdown their time on earth. Walking Dead starts up again this Sunday.
  5. Funny I thought they were upset about having their bankable sick days cut. They keep saying they have no problem with a wage freeze as long as grid wage increases still happen (which really isn't a wage freeze)
  6. I was in Europe last week. The Netflix App on my phone changed movies because of the different IP I was using. Canadian Netflix sucks compared to the European one. Lots of movies and actual good US network comedies. Must be because the Canadian Networks pay to broadcast shows like Modern Family etc. So Netflix can't here.
  7. Because you can feel like you're a victim that way.
  8. Hashtagging your Status updates is so cool.

  9. The Xbox Kinect isn't that great for compelling gaming. The best thing about it, is that you can tell your xBox to pause when watching Netflix. The Wii U is coming out soon. It's the first Nex-Gen console. The interesting feature is a controller that acts like a tablet.
  10. Ironically women are some of the loudest anti-infant circumcision advocates.
  11. Well it would be homicide. You could force labour and have a child living outside the body. That would be far less invasive than a late-term abortion where they take the, otherwise viable, fetus out piece by piece. If the mother naturally gave birth at 24-weeks and left the baby in a garbage bin, that'd be murder, wouldn't it?
  12. http://www.torontosun.com/2012/09/21/ttc-union-threatens-work-to-rule-of-contracting-out-cleaners It'll be interesting what will comes of this. The TTC Union is threatening Job Action because cleaning staff is being contracted out. Cuz of the "Job for Life" provision, no one would be laid off and the staff effected will be redistributed and replace jobs lost by attrition. But obviously the goal is to whittle down the strength of the Union. It'll be interesting to see if the Union really wants to fight this fight. This new Aussie TTC head they have Andy Byford doesn't seem like he'll want to put up with crap like that. I doubt the public will respond well a slowed down system, seeing that the TTC is already pretty busy. I find it rather idiotic that for the TTC to run smoothly the TTC has to do stuff above and beyond their contract, making it easy for them to easily legally cripple the system without any evident recourse from mangement. I guess the last contract was very "Union Friendly".
  13. <------My response to this news
  14. I'm not supporting the idea of banning first or even second term abortions, that should never happen. However, as I've said before, the lack of any abortion law is somewhat troubling. If a fetus can live outside the mother on its own, having an abortion for, whatever reason, (except for life of the mother) is rather immoral. Now you can say such late-term abortions would never happen but without any abortion law whatsoever, what's to stop it from happening? Also the idea of men not being able to discuss this issue is so juvenile. So does that mean men that support abortion shouldn't have an opinion? and what about women who are pro-life is there opinion more valid than a male that is pro-choice?
  15. Just about everything on Wii is horrible. However I hear the newer Zelda game is really good.
  16. Spending $30-$50/month for dozens if not hundreds of channels is too much but buying Blu-Rays at $30 a pop is a worthwhile investment?
  17. Now that's funny! Implying people that work at the CBC actually have a sense of humour? BRILLIANT!!!
  18. I addressed that earlier in the thread. Most of the best TV now is on Cable. A vast majority of good sports is on digital cable too. Those OTA HD antennae don't work well in basements, they also don't work as well in outlying areas. With the DVR I tape all the Network shows I want to watch to avoid commercials and see it at my leisure. Only premium cable programming is appointment viewing anyway (Walking Dead, Game of Thrones etc) Basic SD Cable is like $30/month. Where it gets pricey is when you ad the HD box and Premium packages. But that's what makes cable worthwhile.
  19. You can't avoid padding the pockets of the cable/satellite powerhouses. If you don't pay for cable you have to get a huge internet package. Even if you don't use one of the big companies and go with a company like Tek Savy, they pay the big boys to use the lines. That's why Rogers tried to remove unlimited internet access from third party providers. What I love about Netflix is that I can watch it anywhere that has a good Wifi connection. When I'm away from home I like to watch Top Gear episodes on my phone.
  20. You can't blame Harris for the failed Green Energy plan Dalton introduced. Paying people much much more than going rate of hydro to produce Green Energy. The Samsung deal. These cancelled power plants that'll end up costing the tax payer up to half a billion dollars once replacements are built.
  21. Oh and Labour Strife, don't forget that.
  22. If winning meant having a really shitty provincial government then yeah, I'd say we're winning.
  23. Coyotes aren't endangered. She's not my Premier and if she was being attacked the animal wasn't defenseless. How so? and do you want the 700-page memo on reason's why Dalton is an idiot? Today alone I can give you 40 million reasons.
  24. Why would Alberta's Tourism industry suffer for a dead Coyote? That being said part of the reason Alberta isn't broke is the support of natural resources. I'd just get that out of the way before the Alberta haters get on board. But the assessment of how idiotic McDalton is, is an apt one.
