No one seems to have any issue with Districts having their say on EC votes. The number of EC votes in a given state is established by the number of districts anyway.

Congressional votes and POTUS votes are different. Sure there are Republican districts in Blue State as there are Dem Districts in Red States. Meaningless in POTUS elections.

Sure there are down ballot races that matter. But in all but two states, the POTUS vote is winner take all. Meaning getting 51% is the same as getting 95%.

I'm not talking about Congress. I'm talking about the insane Electoral College. If POTUS EC votes were linked to districts like in Maine and Nebraska, the race would be far more democratic.

Do you really believe Trump has a shot at New York's EC votes? My point isn't to diminish the political views of people in the post. It's to highlight that when POTUS is considered, unless you're in a swing state, your POTUS vote is wasted.

Nor is Texas Republican for Life. Heck South Carolina could potentially be Democrat in the forceable future. But not in this election. New York is a safe blue state.

Sure. But they don't play a factor in the POTUS vote. Wouldn't it be cool if districts played a factor in POTUS voting instead of a Winner take all scenario. Like they do in Nebraska and Maine?

I think it's sad that it's people who are most financially affected by this pandemic, who are also the same people who are the most likely to get this disease. If you don't have a car to get to your service job, you take a crowded bus. You don't have a house, so you're in hallways an elevators every day. OR multi-family dwellings. And those are the places where the virus is ballooning. 1,000+ cases yesterday. The same places are still leading the cases. But you have Conservatives demanding that they continue to work, so they can fuel the economy. But they don't have sick days, they're forced to stay home if they show any symptoms. So if they do, they'll hide them. It's really a sad state of affairs.

US COVID-19 deaths were back up to 1,200 yesterday. Four times more, per capita, than Canada.
And the 30 Canadian deaths is still pretty bad.

I don't resent them at all.
But they're heading into a country in chaos and disease to avoid weather.
I guess plenty "Snowbirds" also go to third world countries like Belize, Costa Rica, Jamaica etc etc to avoid the cold. So it doesn't make the US anything special.

The easiest way for Biden to get to 270 is to take the Rust-belt states that Trump took in 2016 (Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania). Those were all won by the thinnest of margins. The Dems took them for granted. Biden has a healthy lead in all those states. But that's not where things get worrisome for Trump. Those 3 races are far less competitive than Florida, Arizona, North Carolina, Texas, Georgia, Iowa and Ohio. Biden is competitive in all those races. The margins are much closer than in the Rustbelt states that Trump, pretty much has to win. Trump can only really lose Wisconsin and Michigan and still get to 270, lose any other states and he's pretty much toast.

It's called Debate Prep. The Debate is a better way to gain voters. Rallies to Sycophants don't do all that much except make it clear he doesn't care about COVID-19.

Not really. There's a few people from the FBI that might be locked up soon, for their actions in falsifying documents used to spy on members of the Trump campaign. That's kind of a big deal.
