It seems like more non white people are carrying out acts of terrorism to me. At least that's what I see. If you can point to see where roving bands of whites are beheading people, bombing embassies around the world and carrying out honour killings then I'm listening... I'm not talking about one or two isolated incidents. I want you to point out the same level of violence on the global scale like the terrorists are doing right now. But you cannot because it doesn't exist and you know it. I don't see why some people here are so afraid to say anything derogatory about the non white person or the minority religion person. I just don't get it. They make excuses for them but at the same time expect the "white" man to live up to a higher standard instead of using the same yard stick to measure everyone. Yes, this government is not at all perfect but they are currently the best option we have. By no means are they the ones I'd ideally like to see lead our country.

It's not about deterrent, its about revenge and justice for the victims families. If someone killed my mother or sister or brother, I'd sure as heck want them paid back in kind. Perhaps you're different and would like to see them live a peaceful existence in the country club prisons we have in Canada. I often wonder what would make someone angry about commercial fishermen and then I look at the horror stories of our over fished waters, the destroying of eco systems, and I remember that how evil commercial fishing is and how damaging it is to everything we hold dear. We also need to reign in the natives as well. They're going a little too wild with the fishing and hunting lately. Natives need to be limited as well. They are still wanting to have their cake and eat it too. Sweet deal the natives have.

No, we're not terrified we just don't agree with the left wing stance of hugging our enemies and inviting them to live beside us because they are just really misunderstood nice people. OK so you're making a point about vehicular manslaughter convictions should warrant a 30 year penalty. That's certainly one position. I don't think a majority would agree with that. Put in jail where they can play video games all day. Workout. Eat good food. Have a job. Go to university. All subsidized by us. The taxpayer. That's fine for regular criminals but the really bad ones just need killing. Plain and simple.

Say what you will about Texas. They know how to carry out the death penalty promptly. No sitting on it for 30 years plus. Like Cali. Murders gave up their rights as citizens when they started murdering us. I don't see why you should place a value on a murderer. They deserve the same kindness they showed their victims. Some people just don't deserve to be alive. Sitting in prison, watching TV, playing video games, eating good food, working out. Perhaps having a prison job earning money to send to their families The people they killed can never do that again. NO, these people should be killed by the state. Maximum penalties are virtually never handed out. If he even loses this case he'd most likely be given something called alternative measures which means that if you've never been in trouble before you can still have a clean record after a certain amount of time lapses after your sentence is complete. In certain special cases I have no problem with the death penalty. People like Clifford Olsen, Paul Bernardo types it should be reserved for. Limited appeal process. Like Texas, people should spend 7 years or so on death row exhausting appeals, that's it. I'd like to see a return to hanging, none of that lethal injection nonsense. That's for putting dogs down, too nice for this scum. Hanging is a nice balance. I'd like them to be public events with tailgating, ticket sales etc.

Jeb Bush is going to win it as he should. He's a very popular guy and quite unlike his father or brother. He's a moderate conservative and he has instant credibility whereas the other would be largely unknown.

Gay people certainly do have a choice. They have a choice to live a gay lifestyle or not. Many people choose to not live a gay lifestyle but many people do. It's 100% a choice. So many gay people are married tot he opposite sex and even have children before or during their choice to live a gay or secret gay lifestyle.

I would hope that they would be smart enough to nominate someone who is fairly moderate. I don't think one makes President by being a radical.

We need this law to ensure that homegrown terrorists are locked up for even longer and that an elected representative must sign the form to let this killer out of prison after 35 years. Upon letting the killer out, the Minister will need to answer to the public for that action. It's not elected judges but I'll take it. It's a step in the right direction.

I will often pass on the shoulder and follow the person all the way to where ever they are going and confront them about their driving. Or I'll follow them if someone gives me the finger. It's hilarious to watch the guys shrink like a little bitch when confronted in person. I never drive the speed limit except in school zones, I don't fool around in school zones. Everywhere else I drive 10 KM over the limit. 15 over on the highway. I don't see how sucking the ass of Muslim countries surrounding Israel will promote peace and do anything to further Canada. Unless you call making Canada closer to becoming a western Muslim State a good thing. I do not and I'm not alone on that front. Israel is the only ME nation that supports gay rights. The rest of the countries in the ME execute people just for being gay. Somehow you can ignore gay rights and support the Muslim nations while ignoring the only democracy in the region.
