I disagree. It's not a sensitive issue. Not to me. People die everyday, big deal. Suicide is a cowardly way out imo. Someone is too weak willed to deal with life so they end it. It seems to me that all the threads which are critical of Israel turn into an anti Israel, anti Jewish, anti zionist bordering on antisemitic thread. Its really sad. People just don't understand the importance of the Jewish struggle for a free, strong, democratic Israel. Israel is surrounded by countries which execute homosexuals. The same posters who criticize Israel are the same ones who are always defending homosexual rights in Canada. Somehow their desire critcizing Israel and Jews is stronger than their support for gay rights. They're silent on the execution of gays in Islamic nations but very vocal with thier criticism of Israel. Rue, please keep posting. Canada should revoke his citizenship. It's obvious that he doesn't love Canada and only using us. Break Egyptian laws, do Egyptian jail time. I do not see the problem. Even the most liked comments on the cbc say keep him in Egypt. So people here who are wanting him back in Canada are in a very small minority of Canadians overall. Some of our laws perhaps but we aren't using literal punishments for crimes as cited in the Bible. That's whsts hsppening in Sharia Law states. Israel doesn't account to this group. They are nobody. Israel has every right to defend herself from enemies. If somrone was firing hundreds of rockets into Canada Id expect the PM to respond with force as well. I don't see the problem with protecting ones own citizenry.

Michael, it is not the same thing im sure you know that. At present we have a number of nations that use some form of Sharia Law which is based on the tenets of the Koran. To the best of my knowledge we have zero countries which use literal biblical old testament laws.

I dont see Christianity lopping off feet, hands and heads like they do in Islamic countries. Plus we dont have any Christian theocracies on the planet besides the Vatican. Protest lawfully, get a permit to block the road and you're fine. No need for the alarmist tone. Many posters seem to be losing perspective.
