In trial right now a brown Muslim tried to derail a VIA rail train to try and kill as many as possible in a foiled terror plot. These Muslim terrorists are seemingly everywhere. We don't know how many more terrorism plots are not being caught. At some point the brown Muslim terrorist is going to succeed and carry out a successful terrorism action and many Canadians will be dead. I wonder if the left wing here will go to the dead peoples families and tell them that the terrorists are victims too.

Oh and just today a brown Pakistani Muslim tried to blow up the US consulate in Toronto. So again, we need stronger tools to help the services to do their jobs.

Oversight is included in the bill already. A major part of the bill is sharing of information which is very important. That information that us crucial to safeguarding Canada can be freely shared. Right now they cannot be freely shared. If the police have pc that a terrorist attack may occur the police can detain. If an unlawful protest is taking place it can be shit down. No big deal. No ones rights violated. Very simple.

This new law doesn't breach our rights at all. Its going to hold up in court. If the SC strikes it down then they've just handed Pm Harper another majority. This law and the niqab ban are very popular with Canadians. The left on this board who oppose these measures are a small minority in Canada.

we elect mps to pass laws. That's what they're doing. If the courts want to make the laws then we should dissolve Parliament and just have the courts run our country instead.

Most of the Muslims are non white people so it just makes sense that we scrutinize people who are non white when it comes to keeping Canadians safe from Muslim terrorism. The people who flew the planes into the WTC were non white. The people who killed cartoonists in Paris were non white. So I don't see how targeting non brown people would be more helpful in catching terrorists. It's brown terrorists that are carrying out the terror attacks we are talking about. Bin Laden was brown, the leader of Hamas is brown, the leader of Fatah is brown, the leadership of ISIS is brown, Jihadi John is brown, Boko Haram members are largely black. It just makes sense that we target the people of the race which the majority of the Muslim terrorists belong. I don't see how this is racist? So if anyone can explain it to me please do. I'm listening. In regards to terrorism time is always a factor and the faster we can catch the terrorists the faster we can save lives. The terrorists we're talking about are Muslims which happen to be brown for the most part. If some people cannot deal with that, well then those people are in denial.

Private school education is vastly superior so those of us that can afford it take this route. Two educated people, working, can easily be earning more than enough to put children in private school.Its a matter of perspective. We have social medicine in this country so I don't have a choice but to use it. If I could pay for better, private healthcare, I would. Which is why I support two tier medicine. Those who can afford it shouldn't have to crammed into hospitals and medical centres with the welfare people.

So if its perceived that PM Harper skirts the Constitution and posters like "Jacee" shriek like banshees continuously. Yet when the Obama does it, not a peep. Very telling.

I travel extensively due to the nature of my employment and I can promise you that I wouldn't be employed for long if I made trouble at the border and got continuously arrested so I could take some sort of moral stand. Either that or I'd be given less responsibility that would include no travel. I enjoy the travel portion if my job as it affords me the opportunity to see things I may not normally see. I urge people to just sanitize their phones before travel get on with your life. Not everything is worth getting in a twist over. It would seem that some people have little to do but be in a constant state of panic. I simply don't have the time nor inclination to protest every little thing. I applaud those that do, I guess. My time is valuable and expensive so I'll continue on.

That would be ridiculously expensive. Taxes in the US would likely double to accommodate that. Good luck convincing people they need that. Can't afford to have a child don't expect the state to raise it for you.
