Yes, of course it is. The police are able to hold anyone without charge for 24 hours. The police have 24 hours to put you in front of a judge or release you. Simple as that. That is just how it is.

Well,that's the law. The police can arrest and hold anyone without charge for 24 hours. That's been the law for a long time. Nothing new. That's what was done and it was all very legal so I don't see the problem. People were told to stay away and they did not listen to the police so they got arrested. If they hadn't of done what the were told not to do they would've been fine but they decided to call the police bluff and got smacked down for it. Live and learn. If you're going to protest do so in a way that the police tell you to.

In short, the answer is yes, it should be legal. 100% legal to grow, consume, possess without any limits whatsoever.

I disagree. Everyone's opinion is valid as everyone is entitled to an opinion. The value of that opinion may be proven to be less then that of others but I don't think that we should question the validity.

I very rarely drink soda. It's very bad for you. So are Gmo's...lol. this is one gmo I allow myself. Its hard to not have any gmo. We do our best to eat natural and organic as much as we can. Its very expensive though.

Why are you guys so afraid of the government? For people who thump thier chests a lot and shout about how much they protest it seemd odd that you'd be so scared if PM Harper. The fesr mongering by the socialist ndp is sure working.

So according to you the pc party will die off once the baby boomers have died. The pc psrty has a lot of young members. This statement is completely off base. Young pc members become old pc members. The pc party is more popular outdide urban areas. I doubt all the pc voters in these areas are all religious and aged. Very silly thing to say.

I don't think its really practical to have a meeting anytime the police want to detain someone of intrest. Is that what youre talking about?

I don't think he ever mentioned that they were on every street corner. At the same time it is irresponsible to pretend that terrorism doesn't exist. I think only someone who truly doesn't care about the countries citizens would suggest that we just do nothing.

Ok. If someone wants to kill themselves that has little to do with me unless someone is planning murder/suicide...lol. Well, I just hope that the government can draw up a reasonable law that will protect doctors as well as help the patient get what they think they need. I would hope that some sort of counseling would be included in any decision before the death is actually carried out.

PM Harper knows that the Liberals and NDP are weak on terror. The PM will convince Canadians that they cannot protect us from the terrorists. I don't see the other two parties as being able to seriously convince people that they will be protected from terror. Terrorism will be one of the most important topics come election time. A lot of people are wanting to be made to feel safe from terror.

Debt and deficit are very important matters. Just ask Greece of debt is important. The Premier did well today no doubt about it. But they are still under 3 OPP investigations and 1 by Elections Canada. That is serious....that's what matters.

Yes I lurked but never took the plunge of actually joining the site. I would just read the forum on my phone and laptop or tablet without being signed in. But just finally had some time this week so I decided to join up. Next week I'll be very busy with work so I won't have time to be here as much.

The problem is that th e governing Liberals are under 3 OPP investigations and 1 Elections Canada investigations not to mention the bungled gas plant scandal, Ornge ambulance and the wind power stuff. Yet she thinks her Liberals are in a position to teach children about morals and ethics while being morally bankrupt themselves.
