First a trickle....Now a flood
OftenWrong replied to Goddess's topic in Health, Science and Technology
While the brainwashed puppets are all going on about the need to give vaccine to little kids, several countries including the UK have cancelled giving the vaccine to children. Read 'em and weep. https://www.clarkcountytoday.com/news/major-nation-bans-covid-vaccine-for-children-under-12/ https://fee.org/articles/england-refuses-to-offer-covid-shots-to-kids-under-12-while-us-cities-mandate-them-who-s-right/ https://medicalxpress.com/news/2022-09-sweden-covid-jabs-teenagers.html -
The question is, does one try to fix it simply by slathering on another coat, and hoping for the best, or get the grinder out... completely remove the old surface... right down to the pure material... then rebuild from there

And I say whenever these playboy politicians use their emergency powers flippantly it has serious consequences. It weakens our democracy. Those who weaken our democracy should be ostracized and called traitors. Ok, so that's a little dramatic and not gonna happen. But it still should. Better yet, we need to raise the bar on implementing emergency powers. We don't want some prettyboy who got in power to use them every time they get an anxiety attack.

It's my understanding that Justin will appear on "Drag Strip" or whatever, but will not be dressing in drag himself. Disappointing in a way. It's not really that bold. I say if wants to make a statement, he should go with it all the way. Weirdly, I would actually respect him more if he did... Own what you are

Of course not. "They came for the other guys, but they was deplorables anyway. So I said nothing."
-
It was just a reference to what we are heading toward, as a nation. That is, the sinification of Canada. Spearheaded by Dear Leader himself.
-
Fair enough, but it's also understood that Ottawa is the site of federal parliament and there are protests every day. Windsor, not so much. IOW there's expectation of a certain level of tolerance towards protest, if held peacefully. This is a part of democracy. Or do you prefer to have The Hill as Canada's own Tiananmen Square?

No, but today it seems you are on them. IE The true dope

Myata does just fine, imo. Makes many interesting posts, and rarely ever addresses other members directly. Physician, heal thyself.

I mean I can only agree. They need to do their job, working in the interest of Canadians. That means funding health care, security, economic stewardship. Not, telling us how to think, not morality. Yet I blame the populace in the end. We put these people into power, we accept their behaviour and we continue to pay, pay, pay. Despite all that, the man would be re-elected today. It's my opinion Canada is under attack from without and within. We have failed her by allowing these charlatans to hold power. Canadians are asleep. High, on the true dope.

I know, but at least borrowing could take some of the edge off for the poor among us. I'm just an ordinary citizen. It's not my job to figure out what works. That should be the job of government. But I can see where the problems are, and right now there are so many I could write until my thumb falls off. And yet I am certain if an election were held today his supporters would give him the win. We get the government we deserve, in a demockracy

Me either, but he doesn't seem interested in rolling up his sleeves and getting to work for Canadian people. If he did that I wouldn't give a sh** what he does in his spare time. This week the feds walked out on a premier's meeting in BC to discuss the crisis in health care. Canadians are in the midst of an emergency and need big money to fix big problems. Other countries have borrowed to ease inflation and keep cost of living down. Meanwhile our playboy PM is distracted.

I think if some of these leftists ever speak the truth, their tongues would instantly burst into flames.

Now we know what our forefathers meant, and commanded unto their sons when they said, "We stand on guard for thee". -

We all learn so much from participating here, it's a fantastic resource. I'm glad if the info helps you make informed decisions, and hope your meds aren't contaminated! I would tell my doctor anyway. - Look if there is a class-action lawsuit, you might be able to join. -
This is where you would get a like, if it were allowed.

Disagree that Charles was in any way a barrier to those things. And that @Greg gave you ups for that was not very nice in my opinion. Rather troubling actually.

Did you quote someone else's post? I once quoted a post by @Boges during the time when mild swearing was still allowed. (Thanks to Charles). I got a warning message from the bot moderator stating I had contravened forum rules. "Bad" words are not allowed. Yet I had no bad words, and none were highlighted. I was being good. After much frustration I gave up posting, which was a pity because I had some really good and important stuff to say. But later, I saw that Boges dropped an f-bomb in his post which appeared in the quote in my post. We know how much he likes to do that. Too bad by then I forgot what I was going to say, so I couldn't re-write it. Besides, what is one to do, go back and edit Boges' post? Absolutely out of the question. Poppycock, pure and sublime. To be honest I don't even know why this program is being used. Bad language was not a big problem here. The real problem is, bad ideas.

So... Beijing? I would love to see the data on workload from the left-leaning vs right. Both complainants and complainees as I believe right wingers don't complain as much. Just sayin...

China has infiltrated the federal government
OftenWrong replied to Moonlight Graham's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Canada is economically beholden to China at this point, so there is not much room to manoeuvre. Canada also depends on them for certain essential products, like hospital supplies, PPE and drugs, to name a few. Once upon a time Canada had a very strong relationship with the USA. As China began to ramp up its industrial capability, their so-called great leap forward, Canada increasingly shifted its trade towards China. Globalists touted the benefits of "free trade" would bring us closer to world peace, bridge the divide between east and west. Others saw this as a lie, it amounted to exploitation of the Chinese people and essentially, making a deal with the devil, that increasing China's power and influence would only make them stronger, and the communist party leadership are not to be trusted. I read that today Canada gets like 90% of its drugs from China. We make very little medication here. Now there is a terrible shortage of children's medication, without much explanation why this has happened, nor any mention of someone having a plan to do something about it, IE where is the goddam government, is this not their thing. You would think so. I'll tell you where they are... this week Trudeau's reps walked away from the premiers meeting in BC, held to discuss the health care crisis. The man was too busy to attend, and after those shenanigans, clearly not interested in talking about it. He does have the time though to attend and be on a drag queen TV show. Those acting skills really come through when you need them, I tell you. .... But now I hear my friends can cross the US border, and buy all the meds that their babies need. Seems the US has enough supply, but not Canada. Why exactly izzit? I say 1 + 1 = 2 ... Canadians need to connect the dots. Figure out where the Venn diagram intersects...
