Premier Danielle Smith: Train wreck
OftenWrong replied to Queenmandy85's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Actually I've felt she was the best thing to come along in Canadian politics in a long time. I like her bold attitude. She said she would fire a bunch of people, and she did. That's why she got elected, I presume, because people want her to do what she's doing. Clean out the dead wood and fire the goddam riff raff. Health care nuts ahouls bw held responsible for their incompetence handling Covid. Most of all, fight Truduae. And that's where these media attacks are coming from right there. Enemy of 'the State', CBC's out to get her. It is not surprising however to watch you government boot-lickers swallow up all that crap. -

Reading is one thing, comprehension another. It should be noted that the UK is the world leader in teaching medicine, and has the top doctors in the world who advise their government. -

But you can't because, well, you know why... you're just not "better people". -
What if you find out we did get bad advice and did take the wrong approach in trying to fight covid, would you be consistent in your disapproval then?
-
Right so as long as everybody keeps pimping fear, you're ok with it. It's just safer that way.
-
Wait, let me guess- by putting an end to in-camera lobbying.

She's saying you got to pick the first potatoe, and it was the nicest one. Then you called everyone else inferior for having smaller, mis-shapen potatos. -
I don't think this is the same guy, but could be just another pervert. I think the guy is trolling the whole school board and making himself famous, for better or worse, but the question is are the kids being properly educated? Answer no, because there is too much media distraction around the issue of his classroom. From that point of view he should be terminated and given a severance payout. But not because he is a trans-watchamaycallit.

Ir is in itself a rather dumb and unimportant question. I do not know the names of many Prime Ministers. I liked Chretien and Martin, though you've never even mentioned them. If I were aware of what I don't know, then I might say "I don't know." By what standards anyway? Why should there be a "Greatest". No, I may not know the history of Canada's PM's and be unqualified to answer, but I can certainly know the issues that affect us today. Canadians are lazy sheep who want to be fed and coddled, then complain about the country going downhill. Well guess what. It's time to wake up, Candians. -

No of course not. Perhaps because you've got your head up your culo. I say that in reference to the new forum style of dialogue. We must keep up with the time. Sounds gouda. Tomāto, tomăto. But too many chefs can spoil a broth. Of course the USA has their problems, too. But that is beside the point here. I don't see counting games as any kind of valuable solution, when all it does is given a green light to limitless power, to the buffoons they put before us. And as to a cult of personality not being a thing in Canada, when I say buffoons I mean buffoons. Ecce Homo- Let us give it Royal ASSent -

BBC News Excess deaths in 2022 among worst in 50 years More than 650,000 deaths were registered in the UK in 2022 - 9% more than 2019. This represents one of the largest excess death levels outside the pandemic in 50 years. Data indicates pandemic effects on health and NHS pressures are among the leading explanations. -
Proportional Representation

I'm saying what we need is more voter power, not just how we count votes. We need more democracy, take some of the decision making away from the government which has grown into an elite separate class that threatens to dictate its terms to us, no matter how incompetent they are. We are in a nanny-state. Because we are coddled by government, we are ignorant of the issues and carry on happy-go-lucky, not needing to burden ourselves with the knowledge needed for good governance. Then we complain bitterly when they screw everything up. For comparison look to the US model, they have far more voter's rights to decide who will be in government, right down to the lowest levels. The right move is to put limit s on government size and power, and Canada needs this drastically. -

If I were king, it would be your duty to vote, and mine to provide information in each case so you can make informed decisions. Provide a tax credit for those who vote. Pay more tax if you don't vote. -

I know, I know: Get rid of J Turdeaux .... I say it is not so important how we count votes, but how many votes we have, how often we get to vote for things. I'd like to see where citizens have to vote on a wide array of issues, including budgets, government spending programs, our international commitments. Plus MP's compensation and salaries. Then we can hold em more accountable. Put the screws to em -
I did what? You just got played, sucka. Pimp the pimp

It's been explained to you. I asked you to view the second link about globalism, among other things. Yet you didn't, you reject the claims then when I show you someone else who's credible, you're back to asking what he's talking about. #circle-jerk #useless conversation

Coming from you this slur means nothing, just like your idlotic attempt at re-writing the rules of this forum...

They have clout in this country, by having the support of Trudeau and Freeland. They don't need to invest their own money, if they have Canada as a playground and Canadian taxpayers money to play with. You might not agree, because you don't know the issues. Quote from Poilievre- "I have made it clear that my ministers in my government will be banned from participating in the World Economic Forum,” Poilievre, an Ontario MP, said to applause in a May 23 federal Conservative leadership campaign video. “Work for Canada! If you want to go to Davos, to that conference, make it a one-way ticket. But you can’t be part of our government and working for a policy agenda that is against the interests of our people.” Emphasis is mine. So this man is the leader of a major party, and doesn't seem like a troll or a dumass to me. I say he knows more about it than you and me put together. Especially, where you are concerned.

The MSN link Goddess provided on page one should answer your questions. I read the one by Michael Shellenberger.

Nasty, madam? Nay. I was merely replying in the style of the modern forum... idiom.

We are talking about a major re-think for so many things right now in our country. I don't see how you can belittle the significance of that. If you want to ignore it, up to you. The government says Canada needs a radical transformation. Socially, economically. I guess it comes down to whether you have confidence in our government carrying out these kind of changes. I do not.

I agree with those statements, but with some qualifications. It's not what you accused me of earlier, so stop lying yourself. Why not post something of value, all of you, rather than simple nay-saying, ridicule, jeering, icons. You give me nothing of substance or value to answer with, besides jeering in kind. Maybe some of you like to come here and "blow off steam" like this forum is some sort of therepy. I am not interested in that kind of discussion. -
No one should approach you guys when you get silly. What's silly is 5 pages of nonsense and you didn't even know she's on the board of trustees. So I give the link to explain myself, and get jeers and silliness. Need some more intelligent discussion here, not this constant crap "Oh, so you're saying this???" Fook off the whole lot of ya..
