  1. Liberal response: They should have the right to have a cigarette, if they want to...
  2. They liked China when the dream was to get China engaged with the west through capitalism and therebye bring them to the modern age. But anyone with a realistic view should have known. Instead China became more militarized in developing high tech, and now THEY seek to make us more like them, not the other way around. Today every western government sees China as the greatest threat to their stability and self determination. Now the Canadian people need to know why.
  3. There you go, chappy! As long as it exposes China and takes down this reprehensible Liberal government, I'm fine with it.
  4. That's alright ExFlyer, I am not trying to attack you. Just using your garbage as leverage to make my point when I can. When you see this, you'll know I am at least partially kidding:
  5. Intent? I prefer intelligent discourse myself. Taking people like you apart with critical analysis and facts is far more rewarding.
  6. You are incorrect again. From the Alliance Canada HK report itself, which you should read if you have the time. "Beijing strategically disseminates disinformation/misinformation to incite controversies using sensitive topics within the diaspora community, including subjects like drugs, anti-Asian hate, anti-LGBTQIA2S+ sentiments, immigration, and more. This approach is highly effective in eliciting strong reactions and influencing public opinion." In other words to disrupt a society, you have to get people to not like each other and not see this country as a force for good in the world. You need to destroy the culture, and is what I believe Trudeau means to do to transform Canada into a “post-national state”, with Chinese capital and China’s vast consumer markets married to Canada’s resource wealth. Happy Canada Day.
  7. Didn't see where the poster specifically identified being spooked by people of colour, different sexual orientation or turbans. Your own quote from the OP indicates media, teachers, politicians. I guess you don't read to good, neither. Another hallmark of the ill-informed, but highly judgemental left?
  8. I invoked you because, it's not just what you yourself post here but whom you give ups to, that identifies your position. Yes. So you have a lot to say, but have not read things either. Is that you, @Michael Hardner?
  9. That was a test to see if you know what I'm referring to. I generally don't make unsubstantiated claims, because I know you demand links. Although, you rarely post them yourself, and admit you don't read the entirety of posts here before responding. In any case, Bombshell exposé by Alliance Canada Hong Kong documents Beijing's sinister operations here I already posted the link above a while ago. Some highlights, for those who do not habla- "Alliance Canada Hong Kong is one of several diaspora and human rights organizations that have spent years painstakingly documenting Beijing’s strategy of harassment, intimidation, infiltration and “elite capture” in this country. “Beijing provides incentives, funding, and benefits to individuals, organizations, and businesses in mainstream Canadian society who align with its agenda, extending beyond diaspora communities” by utilizing “proxy actors, such as law firms, consulting agencies, businesses and government relations firms” in order to avoid scrutiny. "leader Xi Jinping began pouring immense resources into the Chinese Communist Party’s overseas operations, notably the United Front’s “elite capture” strategy and mobilizing its networks among the wealthy and the well-connected Mandarin-bloc overclass that has come to dominate" Now perhaps you, and @ExFlyer may get the picture why Trudeau is doing everything he can to prevent a full inquiry.
  10. Not sure what you mean. Heightened violence has happened since covid. That's the way it is being reported. When you have politicians calling to defund the police it's inevitable you'll have more violence, more cops being killed and lower police recruitment. A recipe for disaster that doesn't take genius intellect to predict. In US states they rolled it back. Now they are quietly re-funding the police. But Canadian politicians still bought it and are still talking about it, even though the terrible race problems in US don't apply here. Explanation? There's none. I'm looking forward to that Chinese interference inquiry, because to me there's no rational explanation for these purposeful socially-destructive policies coming in, from federal right down to municipal. Smells like Chow Sam Shin.
  11. Canadians are asleep. Worse, they are on dope. The land of the lotus eaters.
  12. Canadians have only themselves to blame, having re-elected the blackface PM. And if an election were held today, chances are still good he would be elected again. THAT is the issue that needs to change.
  13. Several links were given, so I wouldn't say unfocused at all. You demanded verifiable links earlier, did you not? You need to read the whole thing.
  14. This way you will be lead kicking and screaming into the future, where you own nothing and you are happy.
  15. Seems irresponsible. You might want to read the entirety of posts, lest ye be seen giving ups to outright nazism
  16. Both sides are guilty of these sins you accuse them of, and I would be fine with your criticism but for the fact I have seen you give the rabid leftists positive reactions whenever they offend someone you don't like, or have said something that resonates with your (occasionally) illiberal cause. Just sayin. Ok, so he went over the top a little. Blame Trump.
  17. I don't see any big problem with the posts so far. On topic and not breaking any rules. The question is valid in that it was not more than a few decades ago that being a homo was considered a psychiatric illness, by experts. Now we see that it's still a problem, suicide rates as well as other non-suicide deaths. On other words, diseases. Like the good old book would teach us, live a clean life, live longer and be happier. Doesn't mean I don't have sympathy for those born with this condition. Quell your ego.
  18. Your country descended from Britain which created the slave trade industry. It was the same white men, came across the Atlantic and did their thing. But when the Brits chose to voluntarily eliminate slavery, America did not. They continued, because it was to their economic benefit to do so, and it probably benefited their trading partners as well that they could produce the cotton for such a low price. Civil war was fought for several reasons, eliminating slavery was but one of them. And that was being pushed forward by the republicans, was it not? Yes, the "Grand Old Party." It is a black eye upon America that you need slaves to do your bidding, to keep your goods and services low. That's why today the liberals in USA still love their latino workers. Keeping them illegal, keeping their wages down. So I postulate- slavery and racism is part of the fabric of America that makes her tick.
  19. I agree. I also plug my ears when a fire truck goes roaring by. You are still free to listen with great interest, and learn.
  20. I guess news.google.com will no longer be showing a "Canada" section. Too bad, I found it to be the most succinct and impartial site for a quick look at what's going on..

Thanks to "Pablo Rodrigues", because he said so.

  21. I was talking to Greg about my idea of providing a feature that lets me hide threads I don't want to see, to which the poster replied. His posts to you and I were probably merged, but I only responded to the part directed to me. Should be clear enough. Forget enforcing the rules, that is not an option on the table at the moment as you see. So like I said, if there's no moderator, I would like the ability to choose and control my own content. Self moderation. Not by blocking posters, but blocking threads. That way the loons can have their fun and I can enjoy my content as well.
  22. Not sure how you got that from what I wrote. The snowflake's liberalism is in their desire to see everything. In contrast with my conservative desire to carefully choose what I want to see and not see.
  23. I think your stories say the answer overall is "no". Sexual tension? Wrestling? Lesbie friends? There is a thing called affairs of the heart. Psychological romance. Admit that she's cute and you like her, but can only be "friends" because of the current situation. Otherwise...
  24. Yes, you seem like a wonderful, well-rounded individual whose contributions are both rivetting and compelling.
