  1. I questioned you first as to why you believe religion doesn't affect people's behaviours, stating my belief that it does. You are now "softening" your view by saying that it's not the ONLY cause. Mmmm-hmmmm ? Diversionary. We're not talking about that. Muslim isn't a race.

  2. True. BLM and Antifa are worse. Regardless, enough with the insurrection bullshit already. Anyone with half a brain knows a riot of 400 unarmed people isn’t an insurrection. You sound like a crazy person.

  3. I'm reminded of a Liberal MP from Quebec who represented a largely Anglo riding in Montreal Emmanuella Lambropoulos who was on the official language committee and had the TEMERITY to ask for evidence that French was in decline in Quebec. She was pilloried from all corners, subjected to insults and sexual harassments throughout Quebec's media, and removed from the committee by Trudeau. Oh, and O'Toole, maintaining the Conservative Party's tradition of being crawling, spineless ass lickers towards Quebec, also attacked her. There can never be any questioning of the idea French is threatened, and no demand for evidence. So if Quebec wants to change the constitution so it can intrude its language laws into federal jurisdiction all federal parties will enthusiastically applaud. The Liberals, NDP and BQ because they agree, and the Conservatives because O'Toole has no spine, no pride and no dignity when it comes to sucking up for votes from various identity groups. All three have already said they fully support Quebec's right to change the constitution to 'protect' their language. Remember when Doug Ford cancelled that French language university the provincial Liberals had offered just before the election? Remember how everyone lost their minds? Every federal politician was outraged, as was the national media. Quebec politicians cried that this was an example of how bigoted Canada was towards Francophones. Trudeau finally offered to pay for the thing. Well, it opens this fall, and last report I saw a few months back said it had 19 applicants and was desperately offering scholarships to international students. Can you imagine how Trudeau, Singh, and O'Toole would react if Ford tried to bring in a language law like this? They'd lose their minds. Their heads would explode from all the outrage spewing out of them. Yet according to the article 95% of Quebecers speak French. According to Stats Canada only 93.5% of Ontarions speak English. So I guess a draconion language law is fully justified to protect English! https://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/article-quebecs-anglophone-minority-is-a-target-once-again-and-no-one-is/

  4. No, I don't. I just recognize when religious zealotry is at work. You are the one who keeps making the statement that religion in no way affects people's behaviour. You have to prove it. I'm not here to do your research for you.

  5. Until you can posit a way in which we can slow or stop climate change it really isn't important, is it? No one has come up with a way yet which doesn't require all nations to cooperate - which is just not happening. Carbon dioxide will cease being released in such large numbers when we find a cheaper way of producing large amounts of reliable energy and not before.

  6. Google "link between a person's behaviour and religion" and literally pages full of information that it absolutely does. You choose not to see it. I realize that you likely have zero experience with religious zealotry, but c'mon already.....people let their babies DIE for religion, people blow up, run over, behead and burn alive other humans in the name of religion. It's right there in front of you.

  7. yes it does in order to be an insurrection there has be some actual threat to overthrow the government there never was, even for a moment if that is an insurrection then any protest against the election of a president while supporting another candidate for president is an insurrection and you've rendered the word meaningless such a protest happening at the capitol building doesn't make it an insurrection either if you think this an insurrection, I suggest you look into actual insurrections throughout history, and see how the capitol riots don't rate at all only the completely historically ignorant would suggest that was an insurrection

  8. It's very naïve to believe that religion never causes someone to behave a certain way. It most certainly does. I think you vastly underestimate religious zealotry. In my old religion, people routinely let their children die, rather than let them have a blood transfusion. And when Muslim terrorists all over the world yell "Allahu Akbar" when committing atrocities, it's foolish to deny the religious connection.

  9. 1) Are you kidding me? You're comparing two attacks by Canadians to the genocides and the entire countries full of religiously bigoted laws and state-sanctioned violence that I mentioned? Are you completely demented? Do you know how many attacks there were against Canadians by muslims before those two events took place? How can those two isolated events compare to all the things that I talked about MH? What parallel events MH? Where is your example of a group of Christians or Canadians putting out propaganda about how they were beheading journalists and burning people alive, and who then had millions of people sign up to help commit genocide? Find that for me MH. How many BILLIONS of non-muslims are there on earth and why do they commit just a fraction of the terrorist attacks that the muslims do? Answer that for me MH.... Or just dodge it like everything else that doesn't fit your narrative. Whatever. Muslims are about 1% of the population of Canada and the US but the vast majority of murders from terrorists attacks were committed by muslims here. DO THE MATH FFS! No, that's not a fact. That's just an opinion that you belched out here and nothing more. People who emulate Christ act a certain way. People who emulate Buddha act similarly. Ditto for Sikhs and Hindus. Non-religious people who adhere to the Canadian way of life also act in a similar way. Socio-geo-political conditions don't force Christians, Sikhs or Hindus to strap explosives to themselves and then kill children after an Arianna Grande concert. FYI people of the islamic faith emulate mohammed, and when you finally learn about the things that mohammed did then you can begin to understand islam. You stopped learning about people and cultures in kindergarten ffs so don't try to lecture me on 'cause and effect' lol. You're the last person on earth who should be teaching anyone anything.

  10. Assuming mass murder is reckless and unsubstantiated. You’re easily manipulated by an extreme agenda.

  11. never cougar will simply accuse everyone else of the very thing cougar is doing rather blatantly such as knowing what one is talking about prior to posting, for instance throwing stones from a glass house projection is a helluva drug

  13. All trees and all forests are not equal. In Canada and other northern climes, deciduous trees are dormant in the winter and take no part in the carbon cycle, Coniferous tree growth rates slow dramatically so their contribution is limited. Same goes for the southern hemisphere. What about the 50% of the earths species which live in tropical forests, among other things a source of much of the medications used by modern medicine. It isn't a game of numbers, it's biology.

  15. Between 2002 and 2020 the Earth lost 16% of its tree cover and over 6% of its forested area. Tropical forests account for only 7% of dry land but hold about 50% of all the species on earth. NASA

  16. This is maybe one of the most boring countries in the developed world. It's endowed with everything and anything, clean water, woods, minerals, fish that was leaping out of the water oil gas etc tiny population bathing in natural resources. And never it stopped for a minute to reflect how can we make it a foundation for a clean, sustained prosperity for generations. No, no time, dig dig dig cut cut cut sell sell sell cod resources destroyed, salmon in the queue, woods clear cut, last standing old forest facing destruction because prices soar, oil sands a world-renown feature titled "beautiful devastation". And at that, claim and expectation to lead the world, show it something. What?

  17. I know. They’re the biggest threat to liberal democracy today. Until politicians stop fearing cancel culture and start actually challenging it, these threats will continue until there are no great countries like Canada anymore. At that point it will be easy for totalitarian states like China to seize control. The leftists won’t know what hit them.

  18. People who are shocked, appalled and outraged by this are totally ignorant of Canada's history. That is the real threat in democracy, to have bunch of dumbfounded dipsticks voting all the time...

  19. You’re so wrong. Canada was absolutely founded on enlightenment values, many of them derived from Britain which banned slavery in the Empire in 1832, long before it was banned in the U.S. Read about the Underground Railroad. MacDonald was not a white supremacist. He was a Scott who was representing the overwhelming majority of his population who were of European ancestry. Many Indigenous would very much have appeared “uncivilized” in relation to mainstream society. Your comments are irresponsible and untrue. Learn about Joseph Brant and Tecumseh. Read about the countless progressive changes to laws and policies that unfolded in the British parliament and later the Canadian parliament. You really don’t know how Indigenous were treated or why publicly funded education was considered progressive and still is today. Provide evidence for “horrendous and appalling” system-wide treatment in residential schools. This is why people are clinging to extreme sides. No reasonable discussion based on facts.
