Time to step away from the battle (game?) for a couple of days and wish everyone, regardless of political stripe or religion, a peaceful happy time with family and friends. Cheers to all.7 points

I propose that Donald Trump is a threat to Canada's National Security abd that should be voiced by our government. 51st state talk and threats to use economic force to annex us is just one thing. Demands to annex Greenland is another. Attempting to surround Canada on three sides and block access to OUR Northwest Passage is unacceptable and is vital to Canadian security, not the USA's. We should immediately launch talks with Denmark for a joint Greenland Defence & security policy and total free trade with Denmark to secure the sovereignty of both countries. We can't allow the people of Greenland to be forced into assimilation with people they have no cultural, ethnic, or historical ties to. Has any Cdn leader got the guts to stand up and point this out to Canadians? Some of us are too dumb or uninterested to realize the consequences of this Mad Real Estate Developer's ignorance of sovereignty.1 point

4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. 8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” 15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” 16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. The gifts we give each other symbolize our love for one another. The same love our Lord bestows upon us. On December 25th, we remember the day our Lord came down from the highest heaven and walked among us to teach us right from wrong and save us from our sin. That was his gift to us, for he loved us so much. Return the love to Him and the gift of salvation will be complete.1 point

Usually you just spoke nonsense and pretend that's an argument. Actually including dictionary definitions would be a major step up for you I'm sorry that Webster's Dictionary is beyond your comprehension skills, but the fact of the matter is a person who comes to this country with the intent to stay permanently is an immigrant. Vast majority of refugees in Canada are immigrants. I am aware that your brain cannot hold two concepts at the same time so I see where this is confusing. He probably need to take a nap1 point

Sure, your contributions on this forum mostly consist of your screaming into the void at some strawman you created. As usual with you leftists, you want everyone else to do what you think is noble and good and then sit around feeling good about it like you did something when you never do it yourselves.1 point

So then why is Trump's prediction of ending the Ukraine war being considered a lie? Isn't it also a failed prediction?1 point

That has been tried to some extent before. Any arguments that are merely human reasoning are also often rejected. Using humanistic arguments will often be countered with the mercy killing argument for people that are suffering, which is still contrary to the Bible. Unless God and his written revelation are respected, you will lose. Using philosophy or human reasoning is often a loosing proposition. " 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." Colossians 2:8 KJV The ultimate reason to oppose medical assistance in dying or euthanasia is because it is active killing which is contrary to the teachings of the Bible. There are many verses in the Bible related to the subject. This is only one. "13 Thou shalt not kill. " Exodus 20:13 KJV Compassion must be shown to those who are suffering and everything must be done to make them as comfortable as possible and to ease their suffering and pain. This is probably true in many cases. But those kind of people likely don't listen to any kind of reasoning anyway. They may counter you with the mercy argument. Without God and his revelation, you don't have much argument to counter that.1 point

Unfortunately many people think that they know better than the ancient wisdom and lessons of history spanning thousands of years in the Bible. They mock religion as anachronism and superstition. The lessons and wisdom in these stories remain, whether or not every detail is factual or metaphorical. Canadians have crossed a line because they’ve granted the healthcare system the right to murder people. The justification given is that people who are suffering tremendously from incurable terminal illness should have the right to kill themselves. Well clearly anyone can find a way to do themselves in. Involving the healthcare system in this and calling it healthcare is a lie. It is a fundamental violation of the Hyppocratic Oath doctors take to save lives and improve health. We were told that it would be a rare situation when people would ask for assisted suicide and that they would have to be of sound mind, but now we see proposals to extend MAID to the mentally ill and even children. Canada has the fastest growing number of MAID deaths, which is now one of the leading causes of death in the country. The American media are reporting on this because the moral hazards are all too clear. Our mediocre healthcare system can take advantage of the cost savings of killing people instead of treating them. Medical ethicists seem to have left the building. All MAID illustrates is our national decline.1 point

and in related news.....Camel breeders reported their worst financial year since the initial introduction of the Toyota Hilux. A spokesman for the Camel Breeders & Camel Toe Polishers club said it's all Trumps fault.1 point

............ a slippery slope for sure The United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities recently issued, "Canada must repeal medical assistance on dying for individuals without terminal illnesses". Reckless expansions of MAiD beyond imminent death not only weakens our social safety net but also imperils the very dignity and human rights Canada proclaims to protect. No love for the UN, but I suppose even a blind pig like the U.N. can find a truffle occasionally. Oh, Kanada!1 point

Northern Ireland was open to allied shipping, but your criticism is well taken. I don't think it is unreasonable for the Irish to hope for a United Ireland? On the other hand historically, thousands of Irish have fought in the British military. Suppose the United States should be grateful for the Irish Famine - significantly increased the pop. of the Continent - swelled the ranks of the Union army as well.1 point

That is not what you said. What you posted does not say that. At all. Not even a little bit That is made up in your mind. And it's probably made up in your mind because of things that happen to you after you were born rather than in utero. So no, people are not born transgender. And yes, it is a negative psychological condition which almost always leads to one level or another of gender dysphoria which can be extremely dangerous. If it doesn't lead to that then in those cases it tends to be more of a choice or preference than anything else As has been said, you can't have a pathology without an illness.1 point

Latest GDP Growth (Official BEA Data) Real U.S. GDP grew at an annualized rate of 4.3% in the third quarter of 2025 (July–September). This was a stronger-than-expected expansion and the fastest pace in about two years. Why These Numbers Matter The 4.3% Q3 growth is above many forecasts and reflects strong consumer demand and ongoing business investment, particularly in technology and equipment. You despise Trump but these numbers are pretty respectable are they not? GPT says gasoline " on average in the U.S., gasoline tends to be higher in “blue” states and lower in “red” states when you look at state-level pump prices. A number of analyses of recent AAA gasoline price data have found this pattern: red states (typically those that vote Republican) often have some of the lowest average prices per gallon, while blue states (those that vote Democrat) often have some of the highest." Pew Research Center: (this would be an estimate of the total number of illegals, not just those that came in under Biden/Harris) The unauthorized immigrant population in the U.S. reached a record **about 14 million in 2023, based on the most comprehensive data available. Preliminary evidence suggests it likely remained around or above that level into 2024–2025, though enforcement increases and policy changes may have slowed growth or caused a slight decline.1 point

The first link does state that "The building was without a permit, like many in Silwan, and stood on land that was not licensed for residential use. The residents were challenging long-standing demolition orders and applying for licensing when diggers arrived at dawn. The Jerusalem Municipality said the demolition of the building in Silwan was based on a 2014 court order, and that residents were granted extensions for the execution of the order and were offered various options in order to find a solution, but they declined to do so." In the second link, the man likely isn't a terrorist but the reality is that Israel faces security threats from all directions and they have no choice but to be extremely vigilant with goods and people coming and going through various checkpoints. There have been attacks on Israel from the West Bank. Of course they will take that very seriously. The Palestinian Authority is kind of like 'Hamas lite'.1 point

Yeap. The us still has a few soft spots in it's economy it needs to shore up, but canada's is just a dumpster fire. And the biggest problem is that while there are serious issues still in the American economy, it is easy to Envision ways that they might correct those. But in Canada, we are now in a structural spiral dive that is almost impossible to see easy recovery from. And this isn't really just about trump. These problems existed before trump and we're becoming unavoidable. This is why Canadians hated Trudeau so badly. But at this point, we're about to put the plane into the ground. Our debt is crippling and we're just about out of road there, but we can't stop borrowing or we'll collapse. we can't attract business to invest with our high taxes and instability, and our extreme regulations. We can't retain talented people, they go to other countries. If we don't stop immigration our economy will collapse due to inflation and lowered earnings per capita. If we DO stop immigraiton our economy will collapse because we've built our structures and institutions around it and businesses and universities etc won't be able to adapt. We have a problem, and carney is making it worse not better. So it's not like we're even in the process of fixing it yet1 point

It's not just hundreds of millions. And it's not just the activist groups, a lot of the experts that are hired independently to do research for the government or to do independent fact-finding or reports etc are actually partisan friends of the government. I believe the current budget for that is 50 billion dollars this year alone So how this works Is that all these charities around the world I'm here at home get this money for free, and expert consulting firms are hired to do studies that say this money was well spent, and all of these groups will have the Prime Minister and other people from the cabinet and government sit on their board of directors and do absolutely nothing and each will pay $100,000 or $200,000 a person for this to happen. This is how they return the money that was given to them After he left his government position with Britain, by the time he signed up to Canada carney was on the board of directors of over 200 companies just like that. Even at 100,000 a year that starts to add up pretty quick.1 point
