A lot has been accomplished over the past several years with better scheduling and sharing of resources, but yes there are still major issues to tackle. It is important to note that 'non-urgent' is very misleading. There are four priority levels for MRI scheduling, and the 132 days is the lowest of those priorities. The biggest problem is the Ottawa hospital that brings the average way up, it is over twice as long as the next one on the list. Perhaps there needs to be another machine, and technicians at that hospital.
