I didn't even read it.  I don't vote for how a person looks or if there are aspects of his personality I find distasteful. I vote for them if they have policies that I think are going to move Canada forward.

You've probably contributed to their earnings yourself while following this story. You're b going to try and tell me this story hasn't set the alt-right world on fire?

You're missing out.

Are you interested in the specific monetization policies of platforms like Rumble or X that are popular within the conservative niche?

and that has absolutely nothing to do with your sick comments. Get a grip.

Ya, that's what I said, dumba$$.  How do you consistently miss the point of EVERYTHING?

It was an example of how things go when they're done right.  Something went wrong with policing in Tumbler Ridge.  Those guns should have never been returned.  The situation with the kid's mental health had not been resolved.

I have an anecdote too.

My nephew was at a bar and got into a pi$$ing contest with someone and said "well ya, I have guns at my Dads house". He was reported and the cops came to my brothers house and impounded the guns. He got the guns back...just like the story you told.

Point was and is...to be able to take the guns, an event had to happen and they took action.

What reason did the cops have to keep the guns if the mother proved there was no problem??

You are entitled to your opinion, but you are not entitled to tell me what mine should be.

The police were there multiple times for mental health issues with the kid.

The kid was transitioning and on a cocktail of various drugs, hormones, etc.

He had a history of irrational behaviour going back to age 11.

He was openly posting about wanting to do violence.

The guns should have never been returned.  Period.  The cops fu&%ked this one up.  Majorly.

Figures....that is how you stay on top of things....make up your mind without know what is going on LOL

Want to say you are typical of conservatives but I was one for so long , it would be untrue. Problem is some, like you, have become trumpian in your politics :)

Supposition seems to be your way LOL

So, are you saying a semi or fully automatic weapon is not a military weapon? What civilian use other than collectors would there be for it?

No, I was quite clear in what I said:

My point is that calling things a military weapon is just silly nonsense. It is a leftist talking point commonly used to make weapons seem unnecessary, as you are doing, because only the military needs that! When, in reality, the military uses lots of common firearms types, there is nothing special about that.

The military has a reason for needing an M240G fully automatic machine gun. Just because the military also uses semi-automatic rifles or handguns or shotguns, doesn't mean a civilian does not. The Military also uses shovels and knives, so I guess civilians do not need those either!

5 hours ago, ExFlyer said:

I never once said weapons seem unnecessary.

No, you were arguing that if it was a "military weapon" it was.

Explain to me when a civilian needs to use a M240G fully automatic machine gun?

The military also uses knives and forks to eat ...so I guess civilians do not need those either?? You analogies are pointless.

I don't think people need a M240G. I was clearly making the point that just because something is a military weapon doesn't mean people do no need it, but that the military does have weapons they don't.

The point was to mock your continued use of "military weapon" as if that means civilans do not need it. So, you are the one who thinks they should not have knives and forks to eat, not me.

It's an opinion piece.  I see your side's "opinions" all the time.  Here, in the news, on social media.  I'm well aware of what your side believes in.  I don't need to see another shitty opinion piece from your side.  We've all had your opinion on everything shoved down our throats for decades now.

Nobody is confused about what your side believes in or why.

You believe pedos  and rapists should be released back onto the streets as soon as possible because they "may have had a crappy life" or are "brown skinned."

You believe the leader of the opposition in Canada should STFU and agree with everything the gov't does.  But only if the gov't in power is the Liberals.

You believe in open borders and flooding the country with illegal immigrants from cultures exactly opposite from our own is a fabulous idea.

You believe that children can choose to transition into another gender and that their parents should STFU about it - or go to jail.

You believe the gov't should be able to inject anything they want, anytime they want and for as many times as they want, into the entire population and everyone should STFU and do it.

You believe that how a politician looks is more important than what policies they present.

i could go on, but I think we all get the picture of what your side believes.  You've all been very clear on it.

You can fight a guy with a gun. You can fight off a guy with a gun or run from them. You can also try to dodge a bullet.

Maybe not ALL of them:

AI
"U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents follow strict vehicle protocols focused on safety, which include approaching vehicles from a 90-degree "tactical L" angle to avoid danger"

https://www.lawfaremedia.org/article/before-and-after-the-trigger-press-that-killed-renee-good

"Based on what has been publicly released, the whole interaction between Good, Ross, and the other ICE officials was a series of unforced errors by the government. The entire encounter, even accounting for Ross’s own footage, illustrates the general lack of professionalism with which ICE has operated over the past few months and its abandonment of its own internal policies."

Yes, that is not an absolute statement though, as he was also collecting evidence against someone who was not a threat at the time by taking video of their vehicle. When they started to resist arrest, he was on the opposite side of the vehicle, to get to the other side to assist with the arrest, he had to move around the vehicle.

These are all analyses by people who have no clue what they are talking about looking for some kind of technical angle to jam this officer up with.

And so what? Even if he did violate some protocol, that doesn't mean he has to lay down and die as someone drives a vehicle towards him.

Exploitation of the "Tumbler Ridge" ShootingMisinformation and "hateful narratives" have surged following a mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge in mid-February 2026.

Targeting Minorities: Far-right influencers have used the tragedy to spread identity-based hate, despite data showing trans people are more likely to be victims than perpetrators.

True but there is correlation between the two.  Being a toxic combative SOB means people will not be open to your ideas or to cooperating with you.   Most “great” ideas usually require collaboration or cooperation to refine them to their final form and always when it comes to actual execution.

All the biggest corporations, including those started from scratch, were led by A-type personalities who bulldozed over anyone in their way. They were absolutely not collaborative types.

Them's "your" people....trying to fob it off as a white supremacy group.........

The Anti-Defamation League, a U.S.-based civil rights and advocacy organization, cited the profile in a preliminary report, stating it appeared the shooter had an interest in “gore, guns and white supremacy.”

However, the account was later determined to have been created by an impersonator. The ADL issued a correction Thursday, saying: “Upon further investigation, that X account has been found not credible.”

Who says you get a gun?

If you don't like guns because they are more deadly, you are gonna be walking around unarmed.

Lying liar.

No dear, the truth is causing you an emotional crisis today isn't it

Extreme mendacity.

Well I do appreciate that you finally acquired a word of the day calendar, unfortunately you're still wrong

And you're not very bright.

And yet I'm brighter than you. I can make intelligent arguments, I can explain my thoughts, and when I'm faced with truths that I find uncomfortable I don't break down and just cry liar liar liar without any explanation or argument like you do

So I'm smarter than you, I'm more articulate than you, and I'm brighter than you. So what does that make you? 😛

. Can lie to yourself but not us
