Then go talk to them, you are talking to me.

....according to reports the perp was a troubled soul for his entire life - troubled became rage.

The experts have postulated that initially he might have been a rebel without a cause.

He found it, using societies strong heterosexual beliefs as an excuse. ........... pi$$ into the wind?

This guy was extremely dangerous - his rage with his life, society, rejection fueled it.

Public schools are pressure cookers - it was the environment he knew best

Of course it was his target.

There is no defense.

Questions have come up as to where ICE has been getting all the personnel.

Some have said that they are people that have failed at becoming police. Others say they are Proud Boys or from other groups like that.

Basically saying that they are not formally and completely trained personnel.

If you can't tell there is a mental issue, how can you tell they need to have their guns taken away?

The military uses shotguns, bolt-action rifles, and handguns. They also teach people to kill with shovels and knives.

Everything is a military weapon.

I can fight a guy with a shovel. I might be able to fight off a guy with a knife, or run from them. I can dodge a white van.

I can't dodge a bullet nor fight someone with a gun. Not with my own locked in a freaking safe at home.

Poilievre did an excellent job here. The appearance with Carney reminded me of Mitterrand and Kohl holding hands at Verdun in 1984 to symbolize reconciliation between France and Germany. It was a genuine moment too. The more PP behaves normally, the more people like me will look at his ideas on taxation and the economy. Over the long term I want to see balanced budgets and lower taxes in this country.

What the hell does it matter how he 'behaves'? It's his ideas that matter, not whether he's NICE.

I would far rather have an ugly PM who's a mean SOB and has good ideas for the country than a pretty, sweet, laughing, friendly imbecile like the one we had.

True but there is correlation between the two.  Being a toxic combative SOB means people will not be open to your ideas or to cooperating with you.   Most “great” ideas usually require collaboration or cooperation to refine them to their final form and always when it comes to actual execution.

By that statement you're saying that he typically acts abnormally?

In what way is Poilievre's behavior abnormal?

Constant whining, complaining and combative behaviour is not normal and very abnormal.

It is literally his job to hold the government to account. Would you characterize the Liberal leaders in the same way when they were the official opposition?

Mine were always locked up, even when my boy was 21 he couldn't take a gun without me giving him permission and the key.

Apparently, police did remove the guns from the home at one point, but someone in the family applied to get them back - a month ago.

Yup it sure is but the constant petulant whining , complaining and combative behaviour, let alone the sloganizing and uncooperativeness make him lose all credibility.

That is why he keeps losing and declining in the polls. While the conservative party is close, his personality and demeaner makes him a distant second to be Prime Minister and the conservatives will lose because of him.

I was not a liberal in the past and do not remember Ignatief or Dion being so dramatic. Neither do I remember opposition leaders like Harper, Mulcair, Ambrose, Scheer or  even O'Toole being as abrasive and accusatory. Polievere has taken opposition to a new level...well maybe not new as Trump has been that way and it feels like Polievere is emulating Trump in his demeanour.

My opinion.

I apologize for going off topic but...I was asked.

I'm guessing you don't know how hard it is.  Maybe look it up.

An acquaintance of mine just got his PAL and guns back, after over a year.  His girlfriend decided to become an addict, police were called out to their home a few times before he was able to get rid of her, and his guns were confiscated - not because he did anything wrong, but on the chance he might.  He didn't like it, but he complied.  And the girlfriend situation has been resolved.  He got custody of their 3 year old. (Whose birthday I went to yesterday and she's adorable.)

Something went wrong in this Tumbler Ridge situation.  There's no way those guns should have been given back so quickly.

uncooperativeness

The Cons have been very cooperative.  They've allowed quite a few bills to pass now, even though they are only half measures to solve a problem.  Sheer was just on CBC and said where a bill doesn't do any MORE harm, they have been willing to let it pass.  Bills that include clauses that have nothing to do with the bill topic, but make random power grabs - like C-15 where the Libs want the ability to exempt their freinds from all federal laws (like the conflict of interest law) except criminal laws - No.  Not passing.

If the Cons were asking for that kind of power, you would want the Libs whining about it.

The reason is in your comment...the police were called.

He lost his PAL and guns because, not him, but his girlfriend who was also in the house....hence the possibility of a problem...so they removed the potential problem...not the girlfriend

Let's just be honest here - yourself and a few others and all the fanatical Liberal supporters on here - it wouldn't matter who was the leader of the Conservatives.  You will never vote Conservative.

No matter who the leader of the Cons is - you'll accuse him/her of "whining" and being "combative."

No matter who the leader of the Cons is - you'll say their personality is distasteful.

Your objections are petty.

We're not picking someone to have dinner with.  We're supposed to pick the person who has the best policies.

A Liberal podcast just had a discussion about how Jamil Jivani is "too ugly" for politics.  People on social media are slamming because he "looks like a penis" because he's bald.  (He's a cancer survivor.)

You people are just f&$king ridiculous.

Ya, that's what I said, dumba$$.  How do you consistently miss the point of EVERYTHING?

It was an example of how things go when they're done right.  Something went wrong with policing in Tumbler Ridge.  Those guns should have never been returned.  The situation with the kid's mental health had not been resolved.
