She was picked up at a southside business and, after a brief stop at a downtown business, she was driven to a secluded location in the Lethbridge River Valley where she was allegedly sexually assaulted before being driven home. Investigators were able to confirm the identity of the driver alleged to have committed the sex assault, but discovered the victim’s home address had not been logged into the app. When officers attended the man’s home in an attempt to arrest him, they discovered he had left the country. Police say the accused, who they have now identified as Manvir Singh, returned to Canada on Dec. 27 and was detained by officers with the Canada Border Services Agency at Vancouver International Airport. Singh has been released from custody on a number of conditions, including no contact with the victim, a prohibition on leaving Alberta and that he surrender his passport. He also had fled the country while out on bail, but came back and was finally located again and arrested. I would say Lethbridge has an active grooming gang, a la Rotherham, UK. The fact that Singh left and then actually came back suggests he was pretty confident that he would face no serious repercussions. And that still may turn out to be true. Grande Prairie parent charged with aggravated assault of children | Grande Prairie Daily Herald Tribune In February of last year, he slashed the throats of his 2 children - ages 7 and 8. The 8-yr-old's injuries were so severe she had to be airlifted to Edmonton and spent months on a feeding tube. He was released on bail after just 2 days. His sentencing hearing was scheduled for January 2026, but has been postponed for some reason. So he has been free, out on bail, since he did this. He's been spotted in both the Edmonton and Calgary areas & in BC, so absolutely free to roam. Yeah I've been following that one a bit. The sad fact of the matter is it flew under the radar because it's just not that uncommon. This isn't even the only story like that, there are several that are similar and the truth is currently we are allowing violent repeat offenders back out into our society on a regular basis often the day they are arrested. This one has gained some recent attention because of the video you mentioned but honestly there's nothing unique about it.
