She was appointed a few days ago, over Christmas when the news cycle is low: CBS

We will see if she performs or not. It does seem like she has some valid qualifications. Of course, I will disagree with her social policies that she will surely try to inject into the NYFD. Policies that promote skin, genital and sexual preferences over abilities will surely weaken the NYFD just like it did in L.A. This is not an unprecedented move. L.A. is an unmitigated disaster.

I did but if all you posted was hers then that doesn't mean she's not a Dei hire. Her qualifications would only be relevant if we had the qualifications of the other people involved. What if there was a white male who was even more qualified but was passed over for her because of Dei?

That's the biggest problem with Dei hiring. Even if someone is qualified they look like they're not and that they were only hired because of their skin color or what's between their legs or their partners legs.

D e I hiring is extremely common in that area and all levels of government so there's no reason to believe she actually was properly qualified for the job or that there wasn't somebody who was far more qualified. Sadly even if she is the very best any of her achievements will be brushed off because she's d e i
