That did cross my mind. I'm still a little unsure if I'm understanding this properly. First I've heard about it.

This is one of many schemes.  Did you notice carney increased the 12 BILLION dollar budget for 'consultants' who do work the gov't employees are supposed to be ablet to do and DOUBLED it in the budget?  And did you wonder why we're funding obscure 'charities' like funds to 'guarantee diversity in farming in vietnam for lesbians and trans people'?'   like - how many trans farmers do you think vietnam has?

These charities and consultancies will have him on their board of director after he retires and he will have to do nothing and they will all pay him a couple hundred thousand dollars a year each..

He was already doing this after he left the bank of England. Do you know how many board of directors of Charities he was on? Over 500. And that's just from his contacts with the bank of England

So if they all pay him even 100 grand a year He's a pretty rich little boy. And that is peanuts compared to what will happen when he steps down from prime minister.

Again, not illegal. After he leaves office anyone who wants to can hire him. While he's in office he can hire whatever consultancy wants.

Did you notice that he just hired his friends to take over key positions in the government? He just hired a buddy he used to work with on associates with who is a banker to be head of procurement for the military. The guy never served a day in the military ever but now he's going to be in charge of buying equipment. He was hired for $800,000 a year plus expenses and benefits. And he will spend the money where carney says he should and wine and dine all of the right people to make sure a bunch of people owe favors when they get out.

All this was necessary apparently because nobody in our military knows how to buy anything. It would have been impossible to select new gear with only military experts making the choices 🙄🙄🙄

Trudeau is living high on the hog getting millions and millions of dollars for doing nothing, freeland is making out like a bandit and should soon be able to afford to reactivate her disney plus account, and carney is working to make both of them look like paupers in comparison.

Meanwhile most canadians worry about having enough food and a roof.

I'm not kidding in the slightest, the liberals have turned canada into a giant money printing machine.

Yeah. Knock yourself out:

The hundreds of millions Canada is spending on 'gendered' foreign aid | National Post

Here's one of my faves :) "Ottawa gave $4 million to Ukraine to fund “gender-inclusive demining.”" LOLOL

Sure, a lot of these were started under Trudeau Bacardi has deliberately instructed that they continue and he has added to them. And this isn't even all of them, there's plenty of others that are similarly useless

And you look less stupid right now by the way had you done a little bit of research before asking for something that was recent news. Next time I'm making you look it up on your own

Topic is "Potential for the Liberal government to fall in a matter of weeks."

That is a big fail...Libs are still in charge because PP Le Pew kept 2 of his members from voting and the budget passed.

And you are now bailing out of the PP Le Pew brigade LOL LOL LOL

Almost all Canadian and U.S. major banks including the CPP Investment Board have just this year rescinded all  past commitments in de-risking green energy projects. At one time they were all on board, and as of now deserted the ship en masse. It seems they're smelling something they don't like.

Exactly.

Carney's green agenda was dying BEFORE he decided to run for PM.  His GFANZ is being investigated by the US as being a "climate cartel".  That investigation is delayed, the US is prioritizing other things right now.

It's not just in the US and Canada.  European entities also rejected Carney's green crap and bowed out.

Canada is the only one still prioritizing green.  It's the only place left that Carney can siphon money from.

I believe, and many others are starting to figure out too, that Carney is not here to help Canada.  He's here to make himself rich.

It's why every project and initiative he institutes benefits a Brookfield entity.  It's why Canada is still prioritizing "Net-Zero" while everyone else has abandoned it.  We're competing against.....nobody.

It's been estimated that he will leave office with approx. $1.2 trillion, based on payouts from his Brookfield shares, etc.

Yabut don't we have an Accountability Act for preventing that sort of thing now? We've practically been promised this just can't happen anymore.

Where's CdnFox he knows more about this than anyone. Don't take my word for it....as if.

If you follow the committee meetings on it at all, the Act has proven to be inadequate for the amount of corruption from the Liberal party. Things that have always been adhered to by previous governments for the last century as just moral, ethical and "gentlemen's agreements" - the Liberal party blew through all those things because there weren't specific laws.  There never needed to be in the past.  Now we realize we need them, due to the vast amount of corruption in this current Liberal party.

The Conservatives campaigned on updating the Act and even already had legislation waiting in the wings, but you voted against accountability in government.

Again.

The whiff of corruption has been hanging in the air around Parliament since Confederation - a legacy of the Westminster system of government probably.  I'm well aware of the inadequacy of Conservatives when it comes to doing anything about it. That's why I prescribe process guardians, cameras, microphones and charges and jail time for offenders - real measures as opposed to the usual catch-and-release program almost all white collar criminals have come to expect as their due.

Again.

Why do you keep voting for Conservatives given how useless they've proven to be at curbing corruption? I don't expect Liberals to do anything which is why I've voted against them for nearly 50 years now.  You just can't get your head around that can't you? This determination of hard-boiled supporters to be as stupidly and stubbornly partisan as you can possibly be is one of the biggest reasons I never vote for your parties.

There's a YouTube channel Moose on the Loose, he does a section on almost every video called Far Off Ripoff.  It was on there, he shows the actual pages from the Gov't of Canada website, which all you have to do is look for yourself, as well.

But yes, gender sensitive rice in Viet Nam was in there and so was gender sensitive beans in Africa.  And a lot of other stuff.

The Liberals, under Trudeau, spent $11 billion on gender sensitive crap all over the world.

And it was all added to our national debt.

Since it's the same Liberal gov't under Carney, this continues.

Yet you keep voting against anything that would put forth any real accountability measures.

You say you want cameras, but what good are they when the Liberals just keep investigating themselves and SURPRISE! finding themselves innocent.

We need actual legislation.

And you voted against it.

Perhaps you haven't noticed, but they are not the ones who have been in power for the last 11 years, which have been the absolute worst years for full-scale government corruption.

The Liberals have been in power and you keep voting for them.  Or the NDP who props them up.

You continually vote against any party that wants to put forth accountability legislation.

There are none. If Conservatives put forth a plan that included cameras. microphones, process guardians, criminal charges and jail time for corrupt politicians I'd campaign door to door for them.

We don't know what good they would do its never been tried...ever...anywhere.

Except in the case of Lord Black...like I said conservatives suck at corruption whether they're trying to get away with it or do anything about it.
