Almost a daily occurrence now, hardly even news worthy.

Incredibly, the fix is still going after long guns in the hands of law abiding individuals. An AR 15 with a 5 round magazine is soooooo dangerous that the only place it can currently be stored is with the registered owner.

The resolve of liberal voters to stay the course on this is admirable though, if only they could apply that level of perseverance it to simple things.... say losing 20 lbs without drugs.

Here's a question from the article's comments section:

"Liberals caused this. Had enough yet Canada?"

Let me get that for ya....

The answer is "hell no," they want more. And more they shall have.

We have enough people. Why can't you simply go with this as a simple matter of fact and without all the judgemental moralizing?

Overpopulation sucks enough, why do you have to make it worse like this?

The only overpopulation we have is in the third world. If you're so worried about it....let's cut the aid and let it solve itself.

Stop growing the economy.

Canadians elected the right man for the job if that's a priority. The only other mainstream party leader that would have done a better job of that would have been Jagmeet Singh.

Climate change will be what solves it. It'll also chase millions of refugees our way.

I said now watch what you say they'll be calling you a radical,

So let's see the science on that.

Once again you're making up fake bullshit because all the left noses fear and hatred

There will be no refugees, climate change will not fix the world's population problem.

Minister Champagne & Bank of Canada Governor Macklin just signed a "Global Financial Governance" agreement with China.

This is national suicide.

Canada just aligned our banks and finances with Communist China in Beijing. You know...the regime that launders drug money through our casinos, spikes our housing market, imprisons our citizens on fake charges, slaps random tariffs, and gifted the world COVID.

Now we're handing them keys to our financial system right before USMCA review? Americans are gonna nuke this.

Goodbye trade deal, hello economic collapse. Carney's government has lost its damn mind.

Treasonous levels of stupidity.

I have no doubt that Carney is a Chinese operative.  He's not selling us out, he's giving us away to China.  The US is trying to protect N. America from Chinese communist hegemony, and Carney is aligning us with China.

It's real simple, it's not rocket science. Climate change destroys habitat. This reduces and limits population growth and also causes it to adapt, usually by migration to a more habitable environment. If moving isn't possible they perish.

Fiction is usually fairly simple. If it's real then you should be able to show me the science

Climate change destroys habitat.

Not if you adapt and we have the technology to adapt

Usually? We're told that there has never been a climate crisis like this in the past so how can it be usually?

In fact usually people find a way to adopt their local circumstances to allow them to remain if we're talking about changes globally that affect populations. A quick example of the 1300s will show you what I mean. They had literally everything including significant climate change. But people adapted, and they didn't migrate

There's no excuse for needing a primer on this. The IPCC has enough to keep you busy reading for years.

Remember, highlight, copy and paste is your friend. It's an easy skill to master. You should try it sometime and amaze yourself.

They don't have a thing that actually supports what you're saying. If they do point it out, there's nothing there

That's how you lose about 90% of your arguments. All you do is highlight copy and paste without actually reading or understanding anything

And that's why you can't provide any science to back up your claims.

Global warming will not result in a reduction in population. Nor will it result in massive amounts of refugees. These are just lies you like to tell yourself to support your weird little fantasies

Aligning the Canadian banks and asset managers that attended the meetings must have been a pretty easy task given they already have operations in China, and have had for decades.  Gather nobody on X mentioned this to you...

The purpose of the meetings was outlined as stated and to explore further services and investment opportunity for banks, asset managers and our CPP fund in China, not 'handing them the keys to our financial system'.

How exactly is this 'national suicide'?

Sorry kiddo but this goes Way Beyond what we've had in the past.

Think about it. If we were already doing it why would they need to sign an agreement to do it?

The big banks and AM's went there to enhance their current positions, secure more licenses, and to gain more access to their bond market.  The agreement was signed to acknowledge the commitment to deepen ties between our financial markets, facilitate increased trade, and stabilize economic relations.  A guy with your extensive qualifications should know this....

I hope you remember your unwavering support for everything the Liberals have done and will do, so when your kids and grandkids ask how Canada fell, you can tell them you cheered it on and voted for it.

I do know it. Which is why I wonder why you denied it. Your claim was that what we're doing is what we've always done. But it isn't

They're looking at expanding the relationship and ties substantially and that has a wide number of concerns of which god has pointed out a few.

To suggest that those concerns don't exist because you feel we've already always done these things it's not a reasonable position to take.

And you really don't need my extensive qualifications to be able to work that out :)

Liberal supporters are so concerned about everything Trump does, it's all they can think about.  But they don't give a crap what our own government does.

If anyone still has illusions about the unbiased nature of the judicial appointment process, this should make it clear just why we have so many woke judges who believe more in social justice activism than law and order.

No need for me to tell my kids anything.  They're old enough and smart enough to understand and make their own choices of who they support politcally.

They obviously don't share the same concerns by wanting to amp up the finance and trade relationships.

Look at the positives though...  Assuming you've worked (?), CPP Investments will again be allocating a larger portion of their fund mix into China. They're watching you...

They've been promising affordability for Canadians for 11 years now, with Carney advising them for almost half that time.

It's never happened.  And it's gotten worse.

EDIT:  THIS INFORMATION IS INCORRECT SO I CORRECTED IN A POST ON THE NEXT PAGE.  THANK YOU, EYEBALL FOR POINTING IT OUT.

**************************************************************

In 2009, China bought a Nunavut mine in a fire sale for $1.4 billion.  Gray's Bay mine.

The mine had sat for 55 years because it had no infrastructure and was not financially viable, so no private investor wanted it.

But now Carney has fast-tracked $900 million Canadian tax dollars to build the port and road for the Chinese.

The road does not connect to any communities, the Trapper Associations opposed it and it runs through several critical calving grounds for caribou.

There are no guarantees of jobs and no contractual benefit clauses.  The road & port serve the mine and the mine serves Beijing.  Canadians pay for the road, China takes the ore and the profits.

Another one of Carney's "nation building" projects.

But whose nation is he building?

Canada is compromised.
