This investigation BEGAN and the leader was captured by the Biden DoJ.

Former Sinaloa cartel kingpin Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada set to plead guilty

Quote

Former Mexican cartel kingpin Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada is set to plead guilty next week in a drug trafficking case that accuses him of ordering torture, plotting murders and flooding the U.S. with cocaine, heroin and other illicit drugs.

A Brooklyn federal judge on Monday scheduled an Aug. 25 change of plea hearing for Zambada, a longtime leader of Mexico’s Sinaloa cartel. The development comes two weeks after federal prosecutors said they wouldn't seek the death penalty against him.

Zambada, 77, pleaded not guilty last year to drug trafficking and related charges, including gun and money laundering offenses.

Under Zambada and co-founder Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán’s leadership, prosecutors allege, the Sinaloa cartel evolved from a regional player into the largest drug trafficking organization in the world.

Judge Brian M. Cogan’s order on Monday didn't provide details about Zambada’s guilty plea and didn't list the charges he’s expected to plead guilty to. The same judge sentenced Guzmán to life behind bars after he was convicted on drug trafficking charges in 2019.

Messages seeking comment were left for Zambada’s lawyers. A spokesperson for the U.S. attorney's office in Brooklyn declined to comment.

Zambada was arrested in Texas last year after what he has described as a kidnapping in Mexico.

Because you don't know why a DRUG CARTEL KINGPIN was arrested by Biden's DoJ? LMAO

I certainly don't believe what HE SAID.

The reason he was caught is in YOUR article, dummy. And FYI it wasn't the result of a drug investigation.

Stop equating "Trump going directly after drug dealers and drone-striking them" with "someone was tracked down in a kidnapping case who happened to be a drug dealer while Biden was president".

Drug dealers while Biden was POTUS:

  • "Don't kidnap anyone and you won't get caught"

Drug dealers and terrorist leaders while Trump is POTUS:

  • "Any moment could be your last. A missile could just strike you down and kill you before you even know it's there. Maybe it's time to lay low for a while."

Get it? Remember how Al Qaeda just vanished to the point where everyone thought that it was gone?

When Trump’s staff speak of drug cartels as terrorists bear in mind these ‘terrorists’ are financed by ordinary Americans who take illegal drugs. Until that money stops the system will continue.

This is such dumb BS.

The types of drugs we are talking about are highly addictive. The people using them are not all making clear rational choices, they are addicited. In this instance, not giving a crap if the market is flooded with this doesn't help anyone, and you can, in fact, make a difference in deterring and stopping the supply.

My observations are based on the decades of lost lives in this drug ‘war’. Let’s see if the price of these drugs rockets up or not.

What lost lives? I don't give a crap if the price of the drugs goes up... that is the point, we don't want this crap plentiful and cheap.

Yes, if we see supply genuinely restricted then the price will show it but I doubt that will happen. I suspect the market will find a way to supply these people with the products they want. Cutting demand is the only true fix but that is hard.

How do you cut demand?

By persuading people they shouldn’t be taking this stuff. That’s a long-term project. North Americans believe there’s a drug for all their ills and that mentality crosses the line into recreational drugs too.

Wow! What great insight! If only someone had tried that before! There should be like groups that support each other and laws that make it illegal with some sort of punishment and stuff. Amazing idea!

Yes Sheldon, that is sarcasm.

Good to know you are on the side of drug dealers. How about I send the victims of their drug trade your info so they can ask you why you support the drug trade over citizens.

Don't you think that if I were wrong that I would know it?
