Unfortunately no longer true. This was proven in extreme detail by three scientists a few years back who claimed that the peer review process was completely broken.

To prove it they had three articles published, one each. The subjects were meant to play on popular themes but the research was faked and the methodology was absolutely crap. There was no way it should have passed a peer review never mind being published. The topics were like "rape culture among dogs at dog parks and how it affects transgender dogs" etc.  All three got published with strong positive comments from the community.  The scientists came forward and said this is proof that the science community has done VERY badly and many other scientists agreed.  

Good papers are shot down because they reach politically incorrect conclusions and bad papers are promoted because they say the right things. 

Science is not what it used to be.

I'm not interested in what a bunch of bed wetting tree worshippers think about the climate. We're all still here despite what they've been screaming for the past 100+ years.  

I remember getting into slugfests with leftoids about gay rights and they always walked away screaming that I hate science. As if science and queers are the same f*cking thing. lol
