We could cut a deal, let them ship BYDs here, put Cdn batteries in them and sell them at lower prices. Save EV incentive expenses, save Cdn battery investments, counter any Trumpian job losses and speed EV adoptions.

Yes we could and we should.  Why treat China differently from Japan? Let the Chinese manufacturers in with Canadian content.  Basically we create a joint Canada-China EV partnership.

I am actually concerned about exactly that. Carney's best chance to win the election is right now and it's not a great chance. My concern is not that he will decide to stick it out to show Canadians what a great leader he is, that's death and he knows it.

My concern is that he will decide he's going to lose anyway and scare jag meet into letting him stay until fall 2026. The constitution allows for that, and while he will probably have even less of a chance of winning then he will have a year and a half to siphon money out of the country and exert influence and power before he loses and is kicked out. And as we have just seen you never know what crazy circumstance might come up at the last minute to keep you in but basically he would be playing to lose at that point.

So we get close to two more years of grift and Canada would suffer horribly and the left wing who pretends to care about everybody but really doesn't we'll be smiling and laughing as people go hungry in the streets in our quality of life nose dives and then there really will be no choices other than harsh cuts and hurting people in order to get Canada back on track.

If you had a conscience that would be your concern too but....

No, at that point the NDP would be bought and paid for so it would be an effective majority as it has been for the last little while.  And the provinces are achieving that much just yet. Trump has done more to defeat trump than we have.

So basically what you're hoping is that Canadians will continue to suffer and things will get worse because in your mind that's better than a conservative government being elected and actually showing that you were wrong all this time. People must not be fooled, but vote for parties that will bring us justice, such as the Green Party or the NDP, because the Liberals or the Conservatives will take the money they promise us directly from our pockets or we will have to repay their loans. They will do nothing to take this money from corporations that put billions from tax havens as an example.
