That explains why so many fires started in Canada 2 years ago, in the middle of nowhere, in places like Northwest territories. Definitely arsonists....🤣

Canadian forestry experts have already said, 95 % of all Canadians Forrest fires were caused by man, or women, or whatever you identify as , they also stated that no Forrest management system is in place to clean up fuel on Forest floors...go figure....

Not to mention up north fighting fires is a major source of income....no fires no income, so ya arsonist have a role to play....

I don't know anyone who celebrated North Carolina or Florida getting hit by a Hurricane.

I celebrated Luigi terminating a heartless CEO who denied thousands of Americans lifesaving operations, to fatten his wallet, while being investigated for white collar crimes.

I only celebrate James Woods home being burnt down since he is a POS. However, my heart goes out to the people of Southern California, and I hope Canada can help them fight the fires.  meanwhile, Trump is going on and on, blaming Gavin Newsom, and is making it political, while the majority of his followers "hope LA burns to the ground, since it's in a blue state."

Very sad. Wildlife are usually affected disproportionally in forest fires. We need to tackle climate change.

So... maybe 100 years from now while you are still trying to tackle climate change, how about we put some water in the fire hydrants first?

The budget reduction, approved last year by Mayor Karen Bass, was mostly absorbed by leaving many administrative jobs at the fire department unfilled, but that left about $7 million that had to be cut from its overtime budget -- which was earmarked for training, fire prevention, and other key functions.

There's no shortage of things California could do to improve fire fighting effectiveness, and fuel load reduction. The concrete actions they could start today would fill an entire thread. I mentioned a few arial application possibilities above but regardless, whether it be ground or air assets, water is a good first start.

Since you're not willing to tread that path and seem fixed on the climate change aspect, what do you see as the best short term and long term strategy for California to embark on?  In the absence of pursuing infrastructure and forestry management enhancements, how long should they expect to wait for global initiatives to achieve measurable results.

Asking on behalf of ill informed MAGA hyenas everywhere.

Just because YOU IMAGINE that reality is a "Goddess" beyond man's control doesn't make it true.

Actually I don't imagine that at all... It was simply the best analogy a MAGA hyena could come up with on short notice.

Reality is what it is and it doesn't care what you or I think. Get it wrong and it eats your lunch. I'm beginning to understand why progressives fare poorly in the military.

Personally I would start installing irrigation in heavily wooded areas in the cities, so it doesn't get so dry until the CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere can be reduced to natural levels.

Sort of like planetary terraforming then? How would you keep the effects (meaning the weather you plan to create) local? Would prevailing westerly winds and upslope from the mountains deflect your efforts eastward?

Evaporation rates, ground absorption and overall water requirements might be problematic too, at a minimum it would make pretty slow work of it... but I'm rooting for ya.

I think a few progressives in California are now on the verge of tapping. What surprises me is the stratospheric level of absurdity (measured in pain) that was required.

Here's a pretty liberal minded lady who seems onboard with the hyenas. You can only defend absurdity for so long... it was a good run though.

But, just like that uncut trans chick competing in women's powerlifting events, I can't see this progressive narrative successfully competing with reality for too much longer. At some point people will choke on the absurdity of it all.

Careful Herb it's FOX news. Eat some blueberries and take a nap:

This transcends LW / RW animosities by orders of magnitude... there are people who should be going to jail over this.

Man is already creating destructive weather by climate modification.

Thanks for admitting you know NOTHING about Climate Change caused by GIGA-TONS of fossil fuel GHG being dumped into the atmosphere.
