it would depend  if the liberals picked a new leader they would probs have my vote  because i am done with singh as leader of the ndp. and if trudeau stays on then tbh i would probs just sit the election out for first time in my life because i got 0 interest in any of singh pp or trudeau  at this point leading.

I will vote Conservative.  Trudeau is a a disaster and Jagmeet was the worthless loser who enabled him for the last 9 years.  I can't stand Pierre Poilievre and think he's full of shit and playing to the dumbest and most ignorant parts of the electorate, but that's still going to be better than Trudeau and the Liberals who've followed him.  I'll take a chance on a angry clown rather than continuing the guaranteed disaster we've lived through over the last half decade and more.

I am on the fence. If the Conservatives dump PP, and replace him with someone who can stand up to Trump, I will vote Conservative.

and you will take your first trip in a yellow submarine. to hunt for nonexistent fence.

Do please let us know how your new job scraping barnacles is going.

I agree with most of this. I might have to sit this one out. JT has to go but I don't know if I can hold my nose long enough to vote for PP.

Greens...they're global, I grew up watching Star Trek, I think it's what my grand-kids would like. There's no way I'm going to be allowed to just sit it out, she-who-is-to-be-obeyed wouldn't stand for it.

Yes I admit it I've been living in a dictatorship for nearly 40 years now, it's not so bad though...it's kinda like that old Neil Young tune....someone who's there to kill the spiders, and to fix things then go away...

I have a little pad out back above the shop you see. It started out with snoring and separate bedrooms at first and kinda morphed into something else...the hot tub is neutral ground. We know a few couples who took a more thermonuclear path but...this works.

A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

Somebody still going to win. There will still be a government.

The correct solution if you don't like the current parties is to get involved with a party and help shape it. I'll pick a leader, help set policy, be involved.

If you have failed to do that and you are now at this point then you are only option left is to pick  the best of the worst and go.

Poilievre can stand up to trump just fine. And I don't think any of us believe you're going to vote conservative no matter what they do.

This was a extremely common phrase from liberal supporters not that long ago," I would vote conservative only they would elect mike chong as leader" Or some other similar left leaning person.

What you mean to say is if the conservatives with the liberals you'd vote for them. They're not. Their conservatives.

It's probably isn't the reply you were expecting, but it is true that under certain circumstances "None of the above" is a legitimate response. It does send a message as we saw in the Ontario election where literally nobody turned out for the NDP or the liberals and the clear message was you have to put forward good candidates or we just won't come out and vote for you.

And Robert's Rules of Order this is essentially known as an abstention. You abstain, either feeling that you are not able to make a choice for some reason or that none of the choices are acceptable for some reason. And it exists within the Parliamentary framework for a reason.

So while I don't agree with your choice it is a respectable choice nonetheless

What I meant to say, was that you are the biggest jerkoff on the forum.  However, I did not want to sway from the topic, but you called me out. With that said, you are a lonely old man, and the sooner you keel over and die, the better.

Oopsie! Someone sure got upset for being called out for the truth :)

And wishing death on those who made an accurate observation about you, real class act :)

Look, it's pretty obvious to everyone that you're not voting conservative and what you mean when you said what you said was that conservatives should elect a leader who's essentially a liberal lite.

That's not how it works. And honestly if you have seen the damage done in the last 9 years by the liberals, not just Justin Trudeau because they all supported him, you should be happy to vote conservative regardless.

Polievre  is actually quite moderate. It's not like he's calling for balance budgets in the first year, or the deportation of all illegals day one (he's actually been saying we should let them stay), Or Muslim bans or anything like that. He's for ending wasteful spending, getting rid of red tape to make sure that things can get done, and making Canada attractive for business so that we prosper.

Sorry calling you out for the truth upset your feelings that much. I should have realized it was Monday and you're still dealing with the hangover.

I would and will eventually vote Conservative...obviously.

But I have to ask...what or why the aversion to Polievre?

Why should the Conservatives dump him? He exposes Pixie-Dust for the fool he is consistently. His platform is quite reasonable and why should he "stand up to Trump" when as far as I can tell, all Trump wants is for us to close our border...which is something I want as well? I find your post/opinion a bit...uninformed. Our PM should be working WITH the US POTUS, not bickering with him.

"dumbest and most ignorant parts of the electorate"? Please elaborate? Do you consider all Conservatives dumb and ignorant?

Then sit is out. But when the election happens and Polievre wins...you will have no reason to object to the direction he takes the country in.

Its so lonely in m'saddle since m'horse died.

Unfortunately there are sometimes insults flying back and forth in here but don't you think that comment crossed a line?

No, not at all, just the ones that listen to what he's saying and don't realize how full of shit he is.  🙃

A large portion of the folks voting Conservative in the next election will be doing so in spite of Poilievre, not because of him.  They'll be voting against the turd-burglar.

LOL didn't you get the memo? The left is all about killing people they disagree with these days :)

And "troll" is leftie for "he keeps refuting my points and it makes me big mad".

It's not trolling to tear apart your paper arguments. Nor is it challenging.  Make better arguments and you'll be much more 'troll' proof.

Well no that's not what a troll is.  A troll is somebody who makes a (usually unsolicited) statement knowing that it will incite a reaction from other people and cause a disturbance. You know, like calling someone a troll out of the blue or something :) But nice try  :)

see? Now you look stupid again and all because you didn't make a very good argument. It's so simple, think, make a reasoned argument, then post it. When you skip the first two steps you wind up looking like a bit of a dolt :)
