CdnFox Posted November 12, 2024 Report Posted November 12, 2024 This is the state of Canada today. This is what the post secondary education system is full of. Imagine swearing at soldiers on rememberance day - then imagine being so proud of doing so that you film it and post it online. That's who's teaching our kids. 1 Quote There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data

Well, I agree with the employment being terminated. I do respect her right to her own opinion but as an educator we have accepted in this country that your personal opinions being expressed publicly can have consequences. I think without a doubt the termination of her employment would be in keeping with the standards we have set 1 Quote There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data
Venandi Posted November 13, 2024 Report Posted November 13, 2024 (edited) 12 hours ago, CdnFox said: Well, I agree with the employment being terminated. Me too.... but that's a change for me. 12 hours ago, CdnFox said: I do respect her right to her own opinion... Me too... but not so much anymore. Previously, I would have argued in favour of her right to express it and against any consequence as severe as firing. I would have labeled it free speech whilst quietly fuming to myself and wiping her foul spittle off my collection of medals. Same thing with burning the flag. I don't like it but my revulsion is tempered by the notion that free speech has to extend to things I don't like in order to earn its name. But (and it's a huge honking but of a BUTT), she and other progressives have convinced me otherwise, and they worked hard at doing it, damned hard. In the end, it was their nastiness, toxicity, and ridicule that won the day. In the final analysis I could easily be persuaded to change back, I'm actually eager to do it, but for now I want them to suffer the same consequences they delighted inflicting on others.... at least until they cry. It's the quickest way through the storm IMO and if you cheered when your neighbours got fired, it serves as a lesson in what happens when humility and compassion leave the room. 12 hours ago, CdnFox said: I think without a doubt the termination of her employment would be in keeping with the standards we have set There it is. And it's likely her own (liberal progressive) standard of "words are violence" that she (and a few others recently) now find chewing on their own collective tails. I bet they didn't think that standard would ever be applied to them. That arrogance is at the heart of my shift in opinion, it only seems fair that the (preferred) progressive punishment of being outed, doxed, fired and having your kids harassed on the way to school should work both ways. There may be a lesson here: when treating others badly becomes SOP it's always good to look in the mirror and consider the unintended consequences being reflected back. I perceive that some in the US are doing that right now, and probably for the first time. Edited November 13, 2024 by Venandi 1 Quote
Army Guy Posted November 13, 2024 Report Posted November 13, 2024 This is not a one off incident, this is happens all the time, I remember in the mid 80' we were not allowed to wear our uniforms in public, not even to go to work as it upset Canadians, (talk about a moral builder) I have been spat at in airports, called viel names on the way back from work or going to the bank in my uniform, or while in civilian cloths just for having short hair...this was in Edmonton alberta,at the inter national airport coming back from a course in uniform and this random lady starts losing her mind, yelling and screaming at me for some unknown reason, the entire length of the airport until i reached the baggage claim area where security intervened, Gagetown NB some random guy threw mud on my uniform as i was walking to work.......I'm sure other soldiers have experienced or heard of other stories.. I remember being on NOV 11 Parade, in 2002 in our "nation's capitol" from Petawawa were some Canadian walked up to the long line of troops, and started yelling and screaming and spitting on them...And nobody did anything about it for at least a couple minutes...he was later escorted off by city police... Then there are at least dozens of times where people have taken a pis$ or Sh1T on the tomb of the unknown soldier... Lets not forget one soldier shot and killed in Ottawa while on cenotaph duty by another Canadian.... A recent survey done on who purchases and wears a poppy on Nov 11 ,in some provinces the percentage was as high as 40 to 50 %, when asked how many actually attended a ceremony only 30 to 40 % said they do... A veteran was offered MAID for his aliments he received in combat , it made national media , but what really happen after that....not much...he was not the only one.... Another article published in the media stated that todays Vets are offered 20 cents on the dollar compared to world war vets, and Korea vets had gotten... And finally we as a G-7 nation can not even equip our men and women with the latest in training or equipment to give them a better chance on coming home to their loved ones....Can you feel the love...how proud Canadians are about our military...Canadians have no pride in their military to them it eats up valuable funding for more social service programs ...Imagine not having the time or energy to protect your own nation...that there is where a majority of Canadians sit right now, we should all take pride in that right.... DOn't get me wrong...there are millions out there that do support vets and our military and to them i salute you...I don't have any words for the rest of you....The way we treat our vets and serving military should disgust you period...end stop...., to the point where it wants you to take action..... She'd be a hit in Afghanistan. She can carry on with her career there. Or Gaza. Or Iran. Or Pakistan. She should just never be allowed to teach in a Canadian school again. If she's comfortable having people yell "F- You" at her while she's teaching I guess that's fine as well. She just better not complain. 2 Quote If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed. We are filling Canada up with a bunch of third world traitors to Canada. They come to Canada and they start to shit on their hosts and start calling them all racist and haters. When will they the white folk here in Canada ever wake the phuk up to this nonsense? We are under attack by the WEF globalist scum that started all of this multiculturalism and diversity bull. They call it conquer and divide and many Canadians have fallen for that bull shit. Hello? 1 Quote
