The Biden administration is going for 10 years prison time for a doctor who exposed child mutilation, now illegal in Texas.

Apparently the real crime is exposing perverted, barbaric medical procedures disgused as a health records violation. 😫🤒

I'm not a liar. The documents he exposed showed the mutilation of children.

He's now being charged with a paperwork crime while your government does irreparable harm to kids

You don't even know the law. Violating HIPAA is a serious crime.

And you STILL have NO EVIDENCE of child mutilation. Could be circumcision. LMAO

You are more concerned with HIIPA than the real harm being done to kids.

Sounds like a nazi concerned with whether or not a jew wore their star and not the mass annihilation of a race of people.

You're so unconcerned with the alleged mutilation, you cannot find ANY EVIDENCE of it.

Jeebus, now you think stealing and sharing people's medical records is okay? You're getting crazier by the minute.

He stole the medical records of minors and gave them to a journalist, in a severe violation of patient privacy laws.

Crimes of relativity. I see the greater injustice being the mutilation of children not yet old enough to drive a vehicle, smoke cigarettes or engage in coitus but old enough to decide to have their bodies butchered as the greater crime here

You aren't supposed to let people know that kids are being mutilated. That's hush hush

It is up to the PATIENTS to decide if THEY want their medical histories RELEASED and PUBLICIZED.

LEGALLY PERMISSION IS REQUIRED. Duh

^Anecdotal evidence at best. How about some REAL and SCIENTIFIC evidence that gender affirming care is bad outcome more often than LIFE SAVING?

You're welcome to your opinion, but those interventions were legal. What Haim did was illegal--and an indefensible violation of trust and a gross abuse of his privilege as a physician.

He broke the law to hurt people with whom he disagreed. If it wasn't worth the consequence he should have made a different choice.

Not surprised to see you defending the criminal though.

The right wing kooks have no respect for the rule of law. They think if you flagrantly violate the law for a right wing cause whether it’s to steal private medical info or steal elections, you should be above the law.

Don't dance around the question.

Were the names published?

I know all about the personal info laws. Accessing the records is not a crime for an authorized doctor. Releasing the names is.

Did he give the kids names out to the public? Or did he redact them?

A. I answered unequivocally; he did, and it's illegal. The files included names, dates treatment codes and other identifiable information.

B. No, you don't "know all about the personal info laws." It is illegal for caregivers to access the records of patients not in their care. He was not an authorized doctor. Further, it wasn't incidental discovery. He lied to regain admission to the system (social engineering).

As always, who knows what the jury will do, but he certainly committed the crimes.

He requested general access and the hospital granted it.

Now...we're the names given and/or published to the public or not?

Yes or No will do.

It doesn't matter if the patient names were "published." The files he stole and shared included patient info, doctors names, dates treatment codes and other identifiable information.  All illegal.

Not necessarily.

If the guy gave the reports to the press, we're names and personal info redacted?

See...if he gave unredacted info to the press, then he has committed a crime. If he redacted the personal info then he might be inline for disciplinary action by his employer...but nothing else.
