My wife got a F-150 Lightning in December and it's back at the dealership for the second time already.

The first time the battery wouldn't charge and the remaining power on the vehicle was down to 50% of what it was supposed to be, this time it just wouldn't start. Apparently it has a 12-V battery that starts it, opens and closes the windows, locks the doors, etc, and for some reason that wasn't charging.

We have a tonneau cover on the back, and seeing as the battery was dead, we couldn't even unlock the tailgate to get our stuff out of the box before we took it in. Even with the charger on the battery we still couldn't get the tailgate to unlock.

If I had a 1974 F-150 none of that would have happened, and any mechanic in Canada could have fixed it within hours. We could have bought a fleet of old pickups with the money we paid for that Lightning.

Interesting stuff. I have started to considering upgrading my vehicle. An EV seems a solid choice considering my long daily commute but I keep reading stories like this and it gives me pause

Honestly, get a Toyota hybrid if you have the choice. Don't settle for less.

They've been making them for 20 years now and you get the best of both worlds:

  1. your vehicle recovers the energy used in braking by converting it to potential energy instead of just dissipating heat into the atmosphere, so city fuel economy is excellent
  2. you get the quick refuelling times and unlimited range of a gas vehicle (stations are everywhere and it takes 1 minute to refuel)

Additionally, they're cheap, they last for hundreds of thousands of Km, and their resale value is unbelievable.

There may be a wait-list for a Highlander hybrid, but that's one that they've made for 20 years and like I said, the resale is incomparable with other vehicles.

If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

If you missed something on the Cultist Narrative Network, don't worry, the dolt horde here will make sure everyone hears it.

Did NBC pay out almost $800 million to settle a claim for lying?

we're not sure - we know they paid out many millions but the details were sealed as part of the bargaining.  They paid a LOT for lying, if that's any help :)

You really didn't think too much about that first did you?

Fox paid almost $800 million to settle out of court because they knew they were guilty as hell and were terrified of their resident liars being put on the stand. They settled the day before Tucker and his fellow liars were scheduled to testify. Murdoch even admitted it. That meme described you to a T.

What did the other news networks and the Democrat party do when they didn't reveal Joe's mental decline? Would you call that a lie? Don't you still believe them?

All news agencies are selective about what they report. You can't be sued for what you don't say.  Fox was guilty of out and our lying, that's why it cost them the better part of a billion dollars.

Oh no. They said he was as fit as ever.

Scarborough: "F-You If You Can't Handle The Truth," This Version Of Biden "Is The Best Biden Ever"

That was in March. Joe didn't suddenly fall of a cliff. We've seen the decline since 2020. Scarborough lied. He flat lied. And you still believe people like him. People that knew better. And you post things like you did above under the air that you are better. The reality is, you are far worse.

So why didn't anyone sue him. Trump lies all the time, aside from Biden's performance at the debate, Trumps was just a non stop string of lies. Fox repeatedly accused Dominion of rigging voting machines with zero evidence. That's defamation. Who did Scarborough defame?

All I see are excuses. You still believe the people that lie to you and berate the people that believe what they want to believe.

My point wasnt that Trump is truthful. I didn't even bring him up. My point wasn't that Fox is a paragon of truth. My point was that you are a hypocrite for turning a blind eye to lies.

In this case, maybe the biggest lie in the history of our political system.

As to why Scarborough hasnt been sued, who would do that? Who has the standing to say they have been harmed by his lie?

That's nice.  NBC paid unspecified millions to settle out of court because they doctored footage to frame a bunch of children for something they didn't do.

And it wasn't the first time.

Thanks for playing :)

Not saying something isn't a lie. Scarborough expressed an opinion, although a biased one. He didn't accuse someone of committing a crime with no evidence to back it up.

It's actually referred to as a lie by omission and yes, that is a thing
