So-called science has repeatedly erred in making false claims.

Why then does God's Word say that to increase our wisdom, we have to get away from foolish Christian thinking and God's Word?

Hebrews 6 King James Version; 1  Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Where does it say that?

The scripture you quoted is talking about moving away from immature thinking about Christ to mature thinking about Christ. It is a warning to those who may fall away.

I have already read it several times, as well as the scriptures before and after. Feel free to explain how you think the word perfection here means anything you think it does.

Explain why you would stay in a less than perfect book, when it is telling you to find perfection elsewhere?

I go for the 2.0. version.

Yes, of course. My expecting you actually to defend your bigoted and ignorant assertions about The Bible are "too juvenile" for you.

But nobody was there to observe it.  There is nothing to prove it ever happened as claimed.

Fruit flies prove it. Given their 40 to 50 day life cycle you can easily see evolution at work in less than a couple of years.

That's right, it only takes between 8 - 10 generations to see evolution at work in fruit flies.

Ever heard about the guy who turned foxes into dogs in about 10 years?

Why it's almost miraculous.

When has it been observed that a fruit fly became anything other than a fruit fly?

This is the ruse folks play with "evolution" in trying to conflate micro and macro evolutionary theories.

No. I have heard of folks who got Foxes to be nice, aka domesticated... but they were still Foxes.

It hasn't. What's been observed is that fruit flies adapt to environmental changes by evolving new traits.

Another failure of science is the two astronauts that are presently trapped in space because of technical problems with their vehicle.  They went on a trip which was supposed to last eight days and return to earth, but have now been up there for many weeks with no firm date when they will be able to return.  That's how you can trust the science.

The theory of evolution has become absolute gospel truth the past 150 or so years.  But it has been refuted by a number of scientists.

Now the so called "dark matter" in the universe has just been refuted or called into question.

"We’ve long been told that mysterious dark matter makes up the bulk of our universe.

And yet, a new study suggests that this is not – and, indeed, cannot – be true.

The research, published in The Astrophysical Journal, challenges our current understanding of the cosmos by suggesting there’s simply no room for dark matter."

There may be no dark matter in our universe after all (msn.com)

This just goes to prove that much of what is called science is not really science at all.

Interesting.

Now go back to your bible, and pray God saves you from Stage II Cancer. Who needs medicine when you ahve the power of prayer!

Scientific claims are falsifiable. They must make a statement that can be proven either true or false. All swans are white is such a statement - it was correct until black swans were found. By contrast, a statement like all swans are magical is not scientific. The extraordinary success of science in building our modern world rests on this constant effort to correct and improve our knowledge. Scientists expect to be proven wrong eventually even as they edge closer to the truth. It’s in the nature of their wonderful and perpetually unfinished business.

Wait... what?

That is not a failure of science. That is like saying because a kid starved to death in Africa because a truck broke down carrying the food, we can't trust food to nourish us anymore.

This makes no sense at all.

"On January 28, 1986, the Space Shuttle Challenger broke apart 73 seconds into its flight, killing all seven crew members aboard. The spacecraft disintegrated 46,000 feet (14 km) above the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 11:39 a.m. EST (16:39 UTC). It was the first fatal accident involving an American spacecraft while in flight.[1][2]"

Just showing some examples to show scientists are not infallible and everything to do with science is not infallible.  They do make mistakes.  They are human and do not know everything.  Darwin was human and his theory of evolution was a good-sounding theory but was not sound.  It has been debunked by many.

The vaccines for Covid overall probably saved a lot of lives, but they also reportedly killed some people.  They were invented by scientists.  Just another example to show scientists don't know everything.  Some people worship science and think scientists are infallible.  I have heard many comments on here about how people believe science over the Bible.  That is a nonsensical comment because the Bible is not meant to be science book.  It is speaking about the supernatural. Some people don't believe in the supernatural or God and try to use science as an excuse.  Well, true science is useful and probably correct about some things.  But they don't have all the answers about many things.  They can't make a perfect Covid vaccine for one thing.  They can't build a perfect space vehicle that will never blow up.  That's my point.

It is possible to be injured by a vaccine, but the chances for this are low and overall they are very safe and effective and save countless lives. Medical professionals are not ignorant of the risks involved. But anti-vaxxers fabricate and/or misunderstand the risks, which likely causes responsible people to be cautious about how much they actively publicize to the lay public about the small number of vaccine injuries and negative health effects that do occur.

Yes, humans make mistakes. The science was not the problem here, nor "science" in general. They had the data that those O-rings were not rated for the temperatures that it got down to... and they ignored it.

Anti-vaxxers certainly do not help, but it is when those medical professionals lie and exaggerate that pushes more folks into the skeptic camp. This pandemic did not help the cause at all, and that was not the fault of the anti-vaxxers. They just exploited it.

Right.  I am just saying that science is not perfect.  I have watched a video of some people who lost loved ones from the vaccine.  I know it probably saved millions of lives, but it is not absolutely perfect.  There is some small risk albeit very small.  Authorities didn't mention that.  They don't want to scare people away from it.  I am not talking about anti-vaxxers.  I know there are those kind of people that exaggerate the risks.  But if you are one of the people affected by it, it is a big deal.

I am not so sure.  Science is not a god and science is not infallible, but lots of people think it is infallible.  They say science proves evolution is a fact.  But that has been disproven and debunked.  I don't believe science is always correct.

Once again you show your complete ignorance to what science is and does.

The only ones that would ever say " people think science is infallible" , are those who lie about science to con simpletons like you for their own profit.

Science is by definition provisional (you can google what that means). That is why science is an exponentially better way to truth, than the fictional book(or books) you pretend guide you. Why? Because science can and has changed, it's why we know the earth is spherical and not a flat surface covered by a firmament, like the bible says

But please find me any legitimate scientist that has made any claim even resembling     "science is infallible" but we both know you won't
