Desantis will come back to the fold his people will support trump, trumps numbers will go up and he will be stronger going into the actual election because this happened early. Well the thing is the VEEP usually is someone who fills a gap that you can't. Appeals to a group or the like that is different than you to pick up their votes. That's why he went with pence before. Haley would be the obvious choice. But i don't think he will go with her - I think he'll want someone where 1 day before his term ends he can step down and have that person take over and pardon him for everything he may have done in his entire term just to be sure this time. She’s not running against Vivek, DeSantis, or Christie any longer. Trump winning Iowa is meaningless because the Iowa winner rarely becomes the nominee. She just doesn't have a reasonable path looking at the numbers. If trump were super smart he'd work with her a bit to put up a good fight, good as she can, for the next 3 races or so but keep it above the belt and he can do the same and build her up and when she finally has to throw in the towel then snatch her up as vp and say how she won you over with how hard she fought etc etc and you pick up pretty much every republican voter under one roof and the mushy-middle has a nice safe reason to vote for you.
