Quebec so far this week: • Synagogue firebombed • Imam says Jews should be exterminated • Pro-Palestinian screams "kike" at Jewish student • Professor calls Jewish student "a whore," says go back to Poland • Two Jewish schools hit with gunfire.

The antisemitism is out of control.  We see it even on the board here.  The raw hatred of the jews and  "not being able to get past' the past as one poster here put it, how can there ever be peace without one side or the other being wiped out.

Such a paradise of multi-ethnic harmony. Just imagine what it will look like at 100 million mostly from abandon and forsaken places of the planet.

You can't assume that ethnic tension will continue at some level because the conflicts are situational.

We are much larger than when Pierre Trudeau introduced multiculturalism and yet racism and ethnic tension, it can be argued, have reduced.

Quebec has never been "a paradise of multi-ethnic harmony.", ever. LOL

This is the scary part. When people with a low IQ debate over politics.

All the more reason to avoid one sided propaganda on the news.

Rural anyone, really. You don't go out to the sticks to find diversity.

Which is exactly how we like it, and how it should be.

'Nuther good one, although not in Quebec I thought I'd mention it. Due to the irony...

"A Los Angeles film screening organized by Gal Gadot that showed footage from the Oct. 7 Hamas terror attack on Israel turned into a brawl as police responded to calls after multiple fights broke out at the Museum of Tolerance Wednesday night."

Hilarious. Psst. Hey Numb-Nuts...I grew up in rural Alberta.

Not a socialist...just a nationalist. My nation first and foremost. That includes Quebec btw.

No, they are not. They're continuous, bubbling away beneath the surface, expressed in discussions in cafes and bars, at parties and family gatherings. Away from blissfully ignorant liberal white guys.

They show up in quiet refusal to hire people based on who or what they are, or refusing to do business with this or that entity due to their religion or ethnic background. Against the law, sure. So what? Who's to say why you didn't get that job or why you don't have more customers? Muslims hate Jews. They've hated them for a very long time and that's not going to stop simply because they're in Canada. Other dislikes exist, as well, among Indians toward other Indians from different regions or castes, or toward other races like Blacks. Among Asians towards other Asians. Even among Chinese toward different kinds of Chinese. China is not actually a monolith, despite what the Communist party pretends. Even the Communist party routinely discriminates against anyone who isn't Han Chinese.

And with numbers, comes a feeling of strength, so when international tensions arise from what they regard as their REAL homelands, they might tend to lash out at their enemies. Muslim numbers are rising. They're feeling more confident, willing to throw elbows more, as we've seen since Hamas attacked Israel. And thanks to ignorant white liberals like Hardner who assured them their cultures were wonderful and they should retain them and their values, they're almost as full of hate for Jews as their countrymen back home.

The irony, of course, is that the Jewish community, being mostly liberal, were and have always been quite enthusiastic about immigration, and heavily supportive of larger numbers and of more refugees and of multiculturalism. This is their reward. I wonder if they're feeling any moments of self-reflection about that.

This same Muslim student group was issuing congratulatory remarks about Hamas' attack on Israel. Then moved to blaming Israel for the deaths of its people and justifying Hamas' attack.

Such groups infest all our universities, along with like-minded immigrant professors and the university administrations are generally far too cowardly to do anything about their excesses.

I know a ton of people of color who moved to Alberta for higher paying jobs. Many of which returned, citing how racist that it was in comparison.

I never have been there, so could only speak of the dozens of people who cautioned me from moving there.

But have seen tons of stories about it

Mind you, overall, Canada isn't a country that has a good track record with racial minorities, but at least isn't as bad as the US. To be fair, that's not much of a comparison to be proud of.

Apparently they're not to happy with being labeled as anti-Semites by right-wing Jews.

Racism and ethnic tension are at an all time high and were before this conflict.

Multi culturalism, especially in recent years, has made things worse not better.

Initially the idea was we all have a core set of common values that we share and we use to bind us, and then we've got our ethnic culture as well and that's different and everyone gets to see and participate in other cultures.

Now - the liberals use it to break people into seperate divided groups each fighting for attention from the gov't who promises to some to fight others that they don't like.

So we pit the rich against poor, east against west, gays against straights, religious against pretty much everyone, muslims against jews, etc etc.

Multi culturalism was a great idea that has been weaponized by politicians and now is a destructive force in Canada.

They're even less happy about being shot at, burned out, or attacked by Left Wing Palestinian supporters.

And the tension between right and left is even higher.  That's what's really fuelling so much of the anger.

Sure - although i think it's a little bit of everything. Everyone has been divided and set against each other and it just gets worse.  Honestly i see it every day - things that never used to honk people off are setting them into a fury, there's much intolerance, people are frustrated, and they're lashing out.

In both Canada and the states we've seen politicians fueling this.  The dems are HORRIBLE for it, trump isn't much better and is basically running on a 'revenge' platform at this point, and of course justin spends most of his time being divisive.  There's always been disagreement in politics - but it was always 'we disagree sometimes strongly but at the end of the day we're still americans/canadians/french-or-whatever-i-guess.

now - If you don't want to get the covid shot you want to kill elderly poeple and you're a racist bigot waste of space. Trump is an evil person and we've got a fake dossier that proves it! The opposition is wrongfully targeting me in the courts, so if elected i'm going ot wrongfully target them twice as much so join me or they might do it to you one day.

Yeash. What a mess.

Sadly that's probably true.  The housing can't get better for some time and yet we're about to hit a recession where people have less money - meaning inflation hits even harder.

THere's going to be more and more homelessness or "housing fluid" situations.

Our economy is going to take a dump  and not just a recession, which shouldn't be TOO bad or TOO long, but during that time our productivity and gdp per capita will again nose dive very fast and that means less hospital services, less gov't services later. less buying power, less influence on the world stage, etc etc.

We havent' hit bottom yet, and it's 2 more years before we even begin to change  things.
