Betsy,

The MSM wants to make this about abortion.

........but, they can't make an issue of it now.  Poilievre is a social progressive.  If he's said to be consistent with his stance,  it means he's been a social progressive all along.

YOU live in this century Mandy. Jump in with both feet. The water's ok.

How long does a practice have to be with us before it becomes a tradition?

Autistic people have problems with it.

Then, clearly, I am living undiagnosed on the autism spectrum. ?

Precisely.

Poilievre and his wife are smarter than this thread and this forum.

Moreover, understand this: His mother did not have an abortion. Everyone in Canada knows this

All I know about Poilievre's wife is I heard her speak at the convention and I liked her. My first impression was 'smart, pretty and charismatic.'

Now will Trudeau's paid media and assorted nobodies from the left be giving Pierre and his family the Trump treatment? Sure. In fact, of course. More and more as the next election gets closer. I hadn't heard this 'anti-wife' crap but I guess it's just a shot across the bow.

It's going to get worse. This isn't Conservatives first rodeo with the defamers and slur merchants  of the left. We're ready for it.

QM and Betsy,

The Internet is a vast place. This forum is a tiny corner. Our discussions here change nothing. Like in a pub, we are talking nonsense.

The only reason this may matter is if one of us is ambitious or does something foolish. And then, no one will care about what you or I posted. The outside world will only care about one person posted.

Fame, infamy are little different.

I am thankful for my freedom. In particular, my freedom to think in my own mind in my own way.

....

In all honesty, this too was the first time I saw her. And I too was impressed. Heck, I didn't even know that this guy was married.

I started this thread because I feared that many journalists/opponents will attack her - as a way to attack him.

Such is politics.

I suggest that if most people are confused by what you write the fault lies in your poor effort at communicating rather than their lack of understanding.

Good point you got there.  Expect media to jump on that.

FREEDOM, is big on his campaign.  He can't run on it if he isn't pro-choice though.

him being pro choice is the only good quality he has lol...

Sarcasm is pretty difficult to absorb via text.

Whatever you need to tell yourself to absolve yourself of the guilt of murdering another human life. I'm not here to stop you from killing your baby, lady. But let's not pretend you're being merciful.

Oh...and it's 'affects'. Not 'effects.'

One is affected by the effects.

So homicide is okay under certain circumstances. Are there other times when homicide is permitted?

........................and,  not only did his mother did not have an abortion.............

........................but look how this adopted boy had come a long way!

I had seen pro-choice arguments trying to demonize adoption.

Apparently, his biological mom was in that Convention room.  How fortunate  she's witnessed first-hand that she made the right choice of giving birth to Pierre, and giving him that chance to live his life.  His adoptive parents had done an excellent job!  Thank you.
