The problem with the right as it exists now!

Recommended Posts

The real problem isn't the bozos who actually believe this nonsense, but the large part of the hate party that knows better but still supports that direction for this country. Those are the real traitors to this country, the dodo's have an excuse stupidity, the people who know better are selling out this country to get their way.

Republican senators fist-bump after defeating a bill to provide medical treatment for military personnel and veterans who got sick from exposure to cancer-causing toxic fumes while on duty.

The Republicans had actually already passed this bill with bipartisan support but had to vote on it a second time due to a minor technical correction with the language  Why the sudden Republican reversal?  To own the Dems who sponsored the bill and get “payback” for the Dems having recently passed another totally unrelated bill they didn’t like

So the Republicans sacrificed seriously ill military members and veterans, some of whom will probably now die as a result,  on their alter of extremist hyper-partisanship. And they then openly gloated and celebrated on the senate chamber floor

As Jon Stewart said sarcastically:  “They celebrated their victory over veterans with cancer. Way to go, guys! You finally handed it to ‘big veteran with cancer.’ Well done!”

Republicans are Disgusting.

It is the buffoons on the left that is selling out this country. It wasn't the right that froze peoples bank accounts or still forces people travelling to fill out a silly ass ARRCAN app. Why does a Canadian have to fill out this app when the government already knows when a Canadian has returned back to Canada. What bloody business is it of the Marxist dicktator Turdeau government in Ottawa needing to know as to when a Canadian returns to Canada?

Tamara liche was thrown into some Canadian gulag just for daring to peacefully protest. Now it has become a crime in Canada to protest if the protest is against the dicktator in Ottawa.

Go away with your anti-right bullshit. I will bet that you cannot even show me anything as to what the lefty Marxist liberals in Ottawa have done to make Canada great? All I have ever seen from those lefty bozos is just more taxes, more government, and less freedom. we now have high inflation and high gas prices thanks to that dicktator in Ottawa.

Communist tyranny now prevails in Canada, and all being done under the Turdeau Marxist globalist government and it is obvious that you support this communist tyranny. The turd in Ottawa is truly a traitor to Canada and Canadians.

PS: Your Jan. 6th hearing is still nothing more than just another lefty donkey democrat kangaroo court. Liberalism is a dangerous disease to have and you seriously have that disease. You need to go visit a right wing doctor for help. LOL.

Funny. I was going to start a thread saying exactly the same thing about the left, but you beat me to it.

;)

It was 1 Percenters and Proud Boys who attacked the U.S. Capitol Building.

The problem is they have believed every lie told to them.  Cheeto-Lini lied to them thousands of times and they go back for more.

In your eagerness to denigrate anything right of the Milky Way you forgot this little tidbit.

here is a mechanism created in this bill, it’s a budgetary gimmick, that has the intent of making it possible to have a huge explosion in unrelated spending — $400 billion. This budgetary gimmick is so unrelated to the actual budgetary issue that has to do with burn pits that it’s not even in the house bill,” Toomey said on the Senate floor on Wednesday.

Of course Republicans are going to lie and make baseless unfounded claims . Its bullshiit. The Republicans voted FOR this bill just a month ago. No new or unrelated money was snuck in this time.  I’ll let Jon Stewart do the talking again

Show everyone where in the Pact Act is this 400 billion dollars blank check or unrelated spending that was added/snuck in…OR show section 805 c of the actual bill that explicitly states what the Toxic Exposure Fund can be used for. Next

Show everyone what was added/snuck into the Pact Act that YOU voted for on June 16, that made you change to No in July. Be specific. Or were you for the bill before you were against it Senator Kerry…I mean Cruz. Next

No one is playing politics with the Pact Act but you, Toomey and your band of merry monsters. Stop fucking around and pass the bill you already had passed. Thank you for coming to my TedCruz talk.

The Democrats will sink just as far or further to pwn the GOP

you act like it's a uniquely Republican thing

but it's a bipartisan impulse

For Example….?

And I mean provide an example where Dems blocked something that made the difference in someones life or death like in this case , not blocking an airport expansion or oil drilling or something.

Republicans have a ling track record of shit like this especially relating to any sort of publicly funded healthcare which they universally hate even for veterans.

I don't get why Jon Stewart is such a hero to Progressives. He's a smug, poser who's almost always wrong.

Take this one for example. If he really wanted to see how the budgetary gimmick worked he could spend 10 minutes on a non-Google search app like I did. Then he'd know it's been explained all over the place.

Here's Fox News, for example:

Quote

On June 23, when the Senate deliberated the PACT Act after a cloture vote, Toomey expressed his concerns with the language of the bill. He argued that there already was $400 billion allocated in the discretionary spending budget, and that moving it to the mandatory spending budget would be nothing more than a "gimmick" to avoid spending caps. The senator said his amendment to keep the budget under discretionary spending would prevent the potential for "huge excessive spending" in other categories.

"Senator Toomey is asking for a fix to prevent the PACT Act from being used to increase spending completely unrelated to veterans," a spokeswoman for the senator said in a statement provided to Fox News. "As currently written, the PACT Act includes a budget gimmick that will allow Democrats to increase spending totally unrelated to veterans by $400 billion over the next 10 years. Sen. Toomey’s technical fix would prevent this unrelated spending without changing any of the underlying policy in the bill."

There already was 400 billion dollars allotted for discretionary spending. When the Pact Act passed with bipartisan support in the House the assumption was that was where the money was coming from.

But just before the act went up for a vote in the Senate Dems slipped something in saying it would be billed as mandatory spending. This made the 400 billion in discretionary spending Democrat Pork.

When they have absolutely nothing, they just lie. This idiot will find out how big a lie this is soon, but like the other microbes in his world, he will do a week and a half selling this lie , then deny he ever said it.

And according to Pat Toomey the bill isn't killed. It's held up. He wants it back in discretionary spending then it can pass.

Get a life. What a group of idiots. Live on bullshit , die on bullshit. Shit in, shit out! That would be a good name for the right wing, 100% based on lies.

Lol your internet search couldn’t turn up anything more than a Republican senators proposal talking points? Maybe you should have spent more than 10 minutes

That’s a lie, nothing changed since June when Republicans approved it. Note that Toomey voted against the bill both times because he’d rather see these soldiers and vets die in the name of right wing fiscal austerity and to keep tax cuts for the rich. And his concerns are all hypothetical fears about FUTURE possible spending that normally gets addressed during regular reviews anyway

The other Republicans who flipped their vote however have no excuse because nothing changed .This is about pwning the libs nothing more  Why else the Ted Cruz fist bump?

Here’s Military Times  coverage:

Toomey’s concerns are the same he raised in June, when he was one of the 14 senators who objected to the PACT Act’s final passage.

The bill has undergone minor technical changes since then. Several Republican senators who objected last week have justified their flip in recent days by insisting that Democrats only recently inserted the problematic issues into the bill, but the discretionary spending language provisions are the same as June, when the measure easily passed the Senate.

Discretionary vs. mandatory spending

Both advocates and administration officials have also disputed Toomey’s concerns about the accounting issues.

In federal budgeting, spending classified as mandatory (which includes things like veterans benefits checks and Social Security payouts) is set in law and renewed annually. Discretionary spending, which includes program operations, can change each year depending on the whims of lawmakers.

Toomey has said he does not have concerns with categorizing the new benefits included in the PACT Act (about $279 billion over 10 years) as mandatory spending.

But he insists that provisions to move other existing toxic exposure benefits spending in the annual VA budget from the discretionary budget to the mandatory one opens up the door for budgetary gimmicks down the road.

That theoretical spending would not be included in the PACT Act. But by reducing the total amount of discretionary spending in the non-defense side of the federal budget, future appropriators could have more flexibility to shift money into other non-veteran programs.

After last week’s failed cloture vote, Senate Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Jon Tester, D-Mont., blasted Toomey’s arguments baseless, saying that the normal appropriations process allows those kinds of debates each year.

And Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough on Sunday said requiring this block of veterans spending to remain in the discretionary budget would only endanger veterans’ benefits.

“The impact of [Toomey’s plan] is we may have to ration care for veterans,” he said on CNN. “The estimates he uses set caps on what we can invest in people.”

As for Stewart being “almost always wrong” we know that’s just another fake accusation you make against anyone and everyone who says things you don’t want to hear.  Of all people, he’s  also got a well earned reputation as being especially a very down to earth non-pretentious person and the exact opposite of smug poser. So as usual you’re the one who’s “wrong”
