A Ukrainian song I heard awhile back (yes, it's been almost five month already, longer than the Battle of Britain, 1940) goes something like: why Almighty did you send us this ordeal? Although, we understand you need our hands to cleanse this abomination from out Earth. Now, some weeks or months on doesn't it begin to ring true?

If we accept the postulate that God has no hands but human, think of yourself in their, Almighty's shoes in this situation. An abomination, sure. Like who, how can be denying this? In the need of a cleaning job - just think of what this planet could be in two, three decades if the job isn't done these days, like now. OK the work plan is clear so down to finding hands.

And look. There's this mighty glorious, planetary or almost Freedom Defense Alliance with a stellar record of engaging a few petty dictators (and not so stellar really in several and growing number of genocides but OK). Hi glorious, need some hands here, maybe you could do it for Me? Yeah sure freedom and glory never again of course but look here though see this line it's important and we shouldn't really provoke crazy dictator bullies but great talking to you, sorry have to run stay strong with and be brave!

Then here's a couple of big fellows who convinced the victim to make the world a better safer place decades back by promising to uphold her sovereignty and territorial integrity in exchange for their nukes. Up to this job, see really needs to be done? Sorry we have to stay on the safe side and look at the paper, the signature isn't right here and here. But here's some tools for you job sorry (a friendly pat on the shoulder) parliamentary crisis you know have to run.

Anybody else, anyone? Murmurs: aiii what if we will freeze and the scary r-word gas above all let's worship it. And generally why should we be doing anything if it could hurt us? Let's look the other way and see what happens. And, Holy peace has to be above all just submit to it (if if some of you will be gunned down others subjected to decades of terror). Look the bloody oil is going cheaper than ever lets get more, eat it and drink and swim in it! Cries, hands waving, noisy agitation. Normal humane condition of course You've seen it all and countless over the ages.

And so, its down to you, lonely fellow David standing apart from the general excitement. Do you see? Do you understand? Yes we see and understand now. Just give us Your guidance and be with us in this ordeal.

Analysis are openly talking about "giving" Russia a land passage to its Baltic enclave, from a member and what would the great Alliance do? Maybe this and maybe that. Nobody knows! We are only three decades in out of nine centuries if we are in luck and we can't be sure already what we are and what we will do. Who is winning here? And who's getting stronger?

I'm too old to die young, and I don't have children

so I don't worry about it

again, all my Canadian indoctrinated warfighting capabilities & concerns remain compartmentalized

You aren't paying attention. It's not about foreign lands. It's about a simple thing: will you fight when you have to, and there's no other choice? See he studied you for a long time, for decades even and decided that no, you won't fight. And it's true and makes sense that wise don't fight easily and shouldn't. But what about holocaust? What about cities razed to the ground, as in the pictures? At some line, refusing to step in, looking the other way comes with a price - that is, losing your nature. Can you still say it, safety freedom and democracy try it.

Yet over the decades you show this funny trend: you avoid fights that are difficult and necessary and get into petty and pretty useless ones. Like Iraq, Afghanistan. And he sees it. And the world, sees. So will you fight when he comes to your door? Nobody knows anymore, guessing game. Do you know?

the Russians obviously could not match NATO combined air opertions

the Russian military equipment is junk, they would be massacred by Abrams & Leopard 2 & AH-64 Apache

poorly trained unmotivated Russian conscripts don't stand a chance against NATO elite professionals
