The Travel ban did nothing to prevent contain the disease. Canada didn't do a Travel ban initially, and is fairing much better. . . so far. 

Hindsight would say that all international borders should have been closed immediately. But no country did that.

You’re an idiot if you don’t know the difference.  China could’ve prevented 95% of the problem, but didn’t because they were trying to cover it up.  Furthermore the data China initially released indicated the virus was on par with SARS, in which case most countries would’ve been fine.  Regardless, Trump did more sooner, like travels restrictions etc than Canada did.  So you’re entire point makes absolutely no sense.

Nonsense...virus spread was by external vector from travel and community transmission.   Your post admits that bans and closures would have been more effective, and Trump did that before Trudeau.    Canada's surge is just starting now and climbing fast.    Europe sure as hell wishes they had travel bans....back when it mattered.

The cases are increasing but mostly due to an increase in testing. New cases are more a snap shot in time for people tested in past weeks. 

Too be fair, that can also be said about New York. But Nationally Canadian deaths are still under 200. The US is losing 500-900 people a day.
