Then stop participating in it.

i don't use words like that.

look, if you want to say that R governors saying stuff like the presidents message is "confusing" or "of no help" or whatever is a clear case of them bonding ideologically with the president then so be it.

to use blanket dog whistle words that are designed to blanket all criticism or investigative thought is an entirely different matter.

That would be counter to any pandemic curve.

And what if it isn't?

I’m not sure what “it” refers to anyways.

Well, try imagining your worst case scenario...apparently 4 weeks...and then multiply that by 6.

I expect the world will still be here and buses will be up and running shortly thereafter.

but different presidents get elected all the time. its not just about the base showing up on election night or not. there are others who vote back and forth. Trumps re-election has always been on slim ground. he seems to think that his base is all that matters. he's unable to reach out and big tent anything. and when everybody is happy then that probably doesn't matter much.

False....Trump's re-election was better than 50-50 before the virus...the Democrats were eating their own trying to figure out how to defeat him.   If Trump was always on such slim ground, then why did the Trump haters need to be so careful about their nominee ?

Trump won the presidency by purposely not reaching out to all corners....the Democrats lost by doing so.    Why would Trump change his methods now ?

Are people "happy" in Canada ?

Will the virus take Trump down?

Ummmm, let's think about that for a sec.

He's the world leader who restricted travel from China when this started. Our PM didn't have the balls to do anything at all.

Did the person who started this thread start an equally critical thread about the leader who's doing nothing at all?

Nope. So it's just more of the typical hypocritical bullshit that you get from leftists.

1. No, although this is the aim of the globalists to try and take Trump down by creating a pandemic to try and destroy Trump's fantastic economy, and with markets up.

2. Think about that instead.

3. Apparently, there are still plane loads of Chinese flying into Canada from China and not being checked out for the virus. Communist China must be the number one country that Trudeau does really and truly admire.

4. Just another leftist liberal Trump hater.

5. Imagine a world without liberals and socialists? Hypocrisy and corruption and bribery could all disappear from Canada over night. What a blessing that would be for real and true conservatives. Not for those other liberal conservatives being run by liberal Scheer or the next liberal conservative leader. They are no better than the liberals or socialists.

How can anybody be happy with all of this bull chit about this virus going on and on and the fool that is running the place? This virus bull chit cannot last much longer. The sheeple will revolt at some time. It all depends on how much more they can take or isolate themselves before they start to get tired of the bull chit being spread to them every minute of every day. I know that I am already fed up to my ears listening about this virus over and over and over again. Who is ready to join me in this anti-virus revolt?

The globalists are trying their hardest to try to take down Trump but it ain't going to work, pardner. Trump is way to smart for those idiots. The deep globalist state created this pandemic and they will pay for it big time in the next election. The only way for them to get rid of Trump is do what they did to John Kennedy. But if they dare try they will have to meet the real patriotic Americans in the streets and it will be a battle that many people will lose their lives over. Trump is too well liked for them to think that they could get away with committing anything like what they did to Kennedy. What do you think or is your opinion on that, BC2004?

What do I think ?    I think John Hinckley Jr. fired six shots towards a popular President Ronald Reagan on March 30, 1981.

Republicans Are Worried Coronavirus Stimulus Bill Is Too Generous to the Unemployed

"Lindsey Graham thinks it “incentives” people to lay themselves off, because he has no idea how layoff works."

this should be popular with southern rural voters... of course, they'll be watching Fox News so they'll never hear about it.

It’s a legitimate concern, when giving up to 4 years of unemployment.  Republicans like people having the dignity of work.  Democrats like it better when people are reliant on the federal government for their existence.

Is that a typo and you mean 4 weeks is too much?  You've indicated 4 weeks is about all it'll take before you're completely fed up so...just wondering.

lavish blanket appraisals appropriate for those who prefer dog whistles to informed dialogue.

people aren't republicans or democrats... they're people who vote either for republican or democrat candidates. and when properly informed are completely capable of coming to sane decisions that benefit everyone involved.

Unfortunately it’s not a typo.  The bill would extend unemployment benefits for up to 4 years.

Well, you were wondering what would happen if this lasted 10 years.

No doubt CEO's unemployment benefits will earn them that much in a week.

Not possible....unemployment benefits are capped at much lower levels.   Wouldn't even buy a top tier set of golf clubs.

Unemployment benefits in my state (typical of all states) is 50% of weekly pay or $640 USD per week maximum, whichever is less.

Such pay is also taxable as income.

For 4 whole long years?

Maybe Shady is confusing a politician's pay slip with EI or UB or whatever you call it down there.

The Feds are adding up to $600 more on top of existing state level unemployment insurance payments....4 months last time I checked the legislation.   State benefits payments can be extended beyond the normal 26 weeks, as has been done many times before during recessions, keyed to the state actual unemployment rate.

I don't know how pogey works in the provinces, so I can't compare.

But not 4 years.

Did that make sense Shady...snap snap...are you paying attention?
