Quickly, get under cover somewhere. Ya, troll, not better get under that bridge. Snow is just rain falling when the temperature is below freezing. It will be snow whether it is -1 or -50. Gee, let me think about that one, will you? I am trying to figure as to whether this is a liberal trick question or not. Any temperature below 70 degrees is cold. I think that if all the worlds temperatures were around 80 degrees during the day time, and 70 degrees during the night time and all year long that would be perfect for me. I hate snow. It's cold. I would rather swim in the Carribean waters rather than the Arctic waters.

So if the average temperature at 50N was 80 degrees, how hot do you think your Caribbean waters would be? The earth is not flat, it is a sphere, its axis is tilted and it orbits the sun. Yup, the one and only true way of telling the temperature. 80 degrees Fahrenheit sounds a lot better than 25 degrees Celsius. We should never have switched unless America did. I believe that we do more business with America rather than the rest of the world, and we should have kept our Imperial measurement system. But thanks to those liberals once again they screwed things up for Canada and Canadians. There is not much left of the old Canada that I use to know when I was growing up. Today, I feel like I am living in some foreign metric country. I don't know how hot the Caribbean waters would get? How hot do you think they would get? As far as I know, the waters around the equator are not boiling hot as yet. And the temperatures around the equator can get quite hot in certain places. Ever tried boiled Tuna? The temperature should be in the range of 75 - 95 degrees F for humans to survive comfortably without clothing. When humans decided to move to colder climates they now had to find something to wear to keep from freezing. Was there a Walmart back then? Just asking. Omni
The wrong ice in the wrong place is what it boils down to, (pardon that expression) but due to global warming. I'll just assume you misspoke. Anyway evidence shows the ice is coming back, both arctic and antarctic. It has something to do with cooler summers, and wasn't covered in the computer model. It seems there is a self-regulating process taking place. http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-33594654 Get some sleep.

-TSS-
There is so much talk about the carbon footprint that we in the western world leave behind. Even though I live in Finland which probably has one of the highest carbon footprint per capita as very existence here consumes resources I refuse to be the main culprit for my countrymen's sins in the destruction of the planet as I don't have kids, I don't own a car and I don't fly around the world in pointless journeys. (I have only flown once in my lifetime and that will be last flight of mine). Edited August 23, 2017 by -TSS-
Omni
I had never heard of Camp Century but I find it's a very interesting installation the US built in Greenland during the cold was as a place to house ballistic missiles. Now it turns out global warming is threatening to uncover some nasty stuff the US and Norway hoped would be buried in the ice forever. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/radioactive-cold-war-military-base-will-soon-emerge-greenlands-melting-ice-180960036/ Climate change could uncover the toxic and radioactive waste left behind at Camp Century as early as 2090, reports a new study published yesterday in the journal Geophysical Research Letters. The 115 feet of snow and ice now covering the Cold War-era base is already melting faster than it can be replaced, a prospect the military likely hadn’t dreamed of at the time. The study’s authors warn that the soon-to-be-uncovered waste could become a political minefield and foreshadow future international conflicts as climate change reshapes Earth. Omni
And the latest reports on this subject show the temperature at the north pole is 50 degrees F above normal currently, and has been averaging between 20-30 degrees above normal for the last 4 of 5 years and of course great swaths of sea ice are gone so the warming will likely intensify without the reflectivity of that ice.
