There's so many ways to make Mexico pay for it.  I expect that charging some sort of duty or fee on any Mexican product coming into the US is an option.  As is a fee for any Mexican crossing the border(legally) into the US.

Given the state of dissatisfaction with Congress and government in general, if Trump didn't act like such an A hole and surround himself with A holes, he could probably get elected.

"A holes" ruled the day.

I had a basic level of faith in GW Bush's judgment when it came to affairs that affected me, but I don't feel that way about Trump.

President G.W. Bush was ridiculed and mocked relentlessly by many Canadians, who only now have convinced themselves that President Trump is even worse.

In the end,  American administrations develop and execute policies with responsibilities that Canada just doesn't have, and probably never will.

Trump is just another U.S. president.

Thanks for the link. Reading through it shows that the phrase "targeted" does not mean that the software was hacked and compromised. So basically this is about attempted hacking, which is commonplace in every election. Russians try to hack US, America tries to hack Russia, other countries, etc.

This is very much part of the problem with the media today- they are not outright lying, but promoting half-truths which the public can then interpret in predictable (but not necessarily accurate) ways. Headlines, sound bites are being carefully crafted to promote an agenda.

No, you're missing the point. The Russians were exploring those systems, probing them, figuring out how to hack them. They've had a couple more years to work on them. Is there a nationwide system to prevent this? No. Has the federal government organized the states and gotten them to examine their security procedures and improve them? No. Has anything been done at the federal level? No.

Hell, Trump doubted it too, and was apparently horrified when he won. According to that new book everyone at the White House thinks he's an idiot, and they manage him like a sulky child.

I don't think Trump is actually in charge of anything. I'm reminded of back a year when Graham talked about his interview as a possible VP candidate. He was told he would be in charge of domestic and international policy. When he asked what the hell Trump would be in charge of he was told "Making America Great Again."

Trump doesn't have any interest in policy matters, according to what I've seen and heard. He doesn't read anything but press clippings about himself. He gets bored easily if briefings or meetings with uninteresting foreigners are too long. He goes to bed at 6:30 with a cheeseburger and watches TV during the day, unless he's golfing.

I think Pence is basically acting as president for most policy matters while Kelly, McMaster and Mattis manage military and security matters and Tillerson manages foreign stuff under Kelly's overwatch.

Certainly this fellow Wolff writes this book for the 'good' of the nation...and not just to cash-in on snowflakes who would rush to buy anything claiming Trump 'colludes'.

Bannon too?

Everybody has a wonderful reason to appear in tell-all books.

I'm sure Bannon did it for the good of the USA...(flag flapping in the breeze)

:P

And all the other people quoted in this book?

Some folks like yourself buy those kinds of books. Kitty Kelly tells the REAL story of Frank Sinatra...Ka-ching go the cash registers...virtual or otherwise.

You can sum it up for us once you're finished.

Perhaps but Trump and Co are fanning the flames by sending cease and desist letters. Kind of pointless if it's all lies.
