BubberMiley Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 Trump started strong and ran out of soundbites. He sounded like a confused old duffer by the end of it. Hillary, by contrast, got sharper as the night wore on.She certainly has more stamina. He seemed to crash and burn as soon as the buzz started to fade. Rue Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 (edited) If the object last night was to knock Trump out of the race it didn't work last night. Neither scored any true knock out of the other. Its true by the end of the night Trump was fading fast but he held his own and got in all his shots. My gut tells me his negative anti status quo, anti immigrant, anti-world message is going to win out. I don't see the black and latino votes coming out for her or Bernie Saunders supporters coming out for her. My bet is Trump is going to win at this point. If there is a major world crisis/terror attack between now and the vote, it favours Clinton. People vote status quo in the event of a major attack. However if the incidents remain isolated and disjointed, Trump's negative message playing on the fear of Americans in their own streets will win out. I also think the media is so bias in favour of Clinton they are missing why Trump is hanging in. Americans are not in the mood for smiles and feel good statements. They are well aware Trump is a flim flam salesman but they also know Cinton is a corrupt lying sob. Neither of them fool anyone but Americans are in a foul mood. Presidents like Washington, Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, FDR,Truman, Eisenhower, Reagan they tapped into the military pride, the nartionalism, the chauvinism of US culture. US culture is about being no. 1, about being the no.1 military power, strength through force. The US is a warrior nation. It was founded by rebels and fighters not peaceniks.. People see Obama as a failed weakling who has embarrassed them I just don't see Americans forgiving Obama for his politics of appeasement on the foreign stage-not enough to put Clinton in. She's too closely connected to his policies of appeasement and in the end, that gut feeling of having been embarrassed on the world stage is what will I think push Trump through unless Clinton in the next few weeks distances herself from Obama foreign policy which she has not done to date.. People under estimate the pride of Americans and how wounderd their pride has been by Obama and his puppet Clinton. Edited September 27, 2016 by Rue
betsy Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 (edited) Perhaps he just meant that she's honest by Florida standards. -k It still elicited gales of laughter. It's the laughing that's quite revealing. That's the Dems crowd I think? Her own people? "Honest," and Hillary don't go together at all - in any shades or form.....or standard. betsy Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 (edited) Trump's message were simple, and to the point. They resonate! Like his comeback regarding his tax-returns: "I'll go against the advice of my lawyers and will reveal my tax returns....if she'll reveal her deleted emails!" Thus, when Hillary asks "I wonder what he's hiding..." you can't help think of her emails and wonder what she's hiding in those emails! The missing emails are more damning by far than Trump's missing tax returns! And yes, Hillary is right when she beamed and said she's experienced in facing inquiry committees (among other things). Exactly! Why is that? Why is she experienced in standing before and being questioned by such committees? Too bad Trump went easy on her. Trump succeeded in reducing her and lumping her with other political hacks. There is a ground swell yearning for change. Which candidate delivered? Trump! Edited September 27, 2016 by betsy
BubberMiley Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 Trump's message were simple, and to the point. They resonate! . You understood what he was saying? I find that hard to believe! I think his personal debate preparations clouded his mind. But if it resonated with you, please explain what he was on about when asked whether he would respect the results of the election if Hillary won. What did he mean by the 800 "bad" people he didn't think should get citizenship. What did that have to do with accepting the election results? What did he mean by the 800 "bad" people he didn't think should get citizenship. What did that have to do with accepting the election results? This? More than 800 immigrants mistakenly granted citizenshipWASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. government has mistakenly granted citizenship to at least 858 immigrants from countries of concern to national security or with high rates of immigration fraud who had pending deportation orders, according to an internal Homeland Security audit released Monday. The Homeland Security Department's inspector general found that the immigrants used different names or birthdates to apply for citizenship with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and such discrepancies weren't caught because their fingerprints were missing from government databases. https://www.yahoo.com/news/more-800-immigrants-mistakenly-granted-citizenship-130452164--politics.html They're giving their last pitch at the end of the debate. That's why he gave his slogan, "Make America Great Again." He gave the 800 as an example - there is something seriously wrong if 800 that were supposed to be deported, had managed to become citizens! It ties up with his slogan. Btw, he didn't say he'll respect the results - he said, he'll support her. Big difference. Here....review that segment and you'll see how the 800 tied up with what he's saying. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRJ8TLCZdnI Edited September 27, 2016 by betsy
BubberMiley Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 This?It makes sense to you to challenge the election results only if Hillary wins because 800 people became citizens? What if Donald wins? No problem then? "I think it's fun watching the waldick get all excited/knickers in a knot over something." -scribblet
Cum Laude Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 It makes sense to you to challenge the election results only if Hillary wins because 800 people became citizens? What if Donald wins? No problem then? I just saw the debate. I think that Trump won even though the MSM tried to rig it against him. For example, the silly Birther question and no questions about the emails, the Clinton Foundation, etc. I think that Trump won. The last question on whether the US should abandon a policy of First Strike Hillary didn’t answer, presumably as it would go against Hillary’s Neocon backers. Trump said that the US should renounce the first use of nuclear weapons. Trump won.
Cum Laude Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 What was on Hillary's back last night?

In all seriousness, in my opinion, you know who won the Debate last night? That’s right — Russia & China. America is a Drunken Psychopath with a nuclear arsenal that can destroy the planet ten times over. If someone is clever enough, they can rob the psychopath blind all the while making the drunk psychopath feel as though it’s calling the shots. The Debate last night, it wasn’t Clinton & Trump, it was Abbot & Costello. Wrap your head around the fact that 100 years from now the World’s population will shrink from a high of ~ 8 billion people to as few as 1 billion or less (if it’s not blown to smithereens first), and these two clownish morons are talking about tax returns & birth certificates. I know, I know, most of you Old Geezers don’t give a shit because you’ll be long gone, and that’s precisely why there will be so much ungodly suffering to come — a collective attitude such as that — kicking the can down the road until you kick it over the cliff into the abyss at the end of the road. Cum Laude Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 B Scapper Well, I'm glad to hear you'll still be around 100 years from now. Clean living? What’s more to say. I am just relaxing and watching the Great Idea that never was implode. Oh wait we have another election coming up with those that love lying to the zombie masses with the promise to fix everything meanwhile protecting us from ourselves. The USA is so pathetic and meanwhile we bow down to the great got Apple and wall street. In one word pure puke. Yet, Canada is more pathetic. Go figure.
?Impact Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 Trump won, gosh dang it. Sure he lied, sure he was exposed to be a tax cheat, sure his 'looks'/'stamina' BS backfired big time, sure he demonstrated he is a racist, sure his lie about Obama being responsible for the withdrawal of troops from Iraq was exposed, it all doesn't matter. I like racist, lying, misogynist, because I aspire to be one myself.

Moonlight Graham Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 I find it quite hilarious when people believe they are on some kind of moral high ground by supporting or voting for the likes of Hillary Clinton. It's as ridiculous as saying "I'm a better person than you because I only stole $200 and you stole $1000". Truer words have never been said on these forums.
