Why do we all convert to Islam if it is so much better. And if hate is on the rise in this country, that tells me we have enough representatives from Islam in the country.

The real victim here is Islam, after-all.

No, the victims are the kids in Manchester.  Where do you disagree with my comments?

Don't talk wet.  The fact is there is no obligation on the part of any Muslims to come forward and condemn these actions, and yet many do.  I sympathise with the millions of Muslims who are just as horrified as we are at these atrocities.  How does one go about their daily lives knowing they are so closely linked to such barbarism?

The idea that all criticism and abhorrence of Islamic excesses, from the bombing in Manchester to the recent canings in Indonesia can be taken to imply all Muslims are responsible is often the only argument some blinkered liberals have when it comes to such discussions.  Comments such as yours merely reinforce their argument.

I am not a liberal let alone a blinkered one. I just don't understand why you are defending this religion and what it does to the people to commit these barbaric behaviour.

Of course you are free to follow Islam.

Islam is the real victim in this situation. Obviously not the kids. They are what the Islam = Peace crowd have deemed acceptable casualties as per the Acceptable Casualties Argument as London's Mayor underlined very clearly.

Muslims speak out against terrorists all the time.   There are entire groups and movements of Muslims denouncing these acts of terror.   There've been fatwas issued against ISIS and terror activities.  The letter to Baghdadi garnered hundreds of signatures from Muslim clerics and scholars from around the world.  There are individual Muslims who spend their life battling extremist teachings in their countries.  Dozens and sometimes hundreds of Muslims have offered time and money to victims of terrorism.  These things aren't featured on any news stories to the extent that Muslim attacks are so not surprising so many people think "Muslims aren't speaking out against terror".

Exactly.

Exactly.

Rinse, repeat and wait for the next attack...and you moderates can speak out against your death cult yet again.

I missed the comments.  Nevertheless, I'm a member of a different crowd, I have a different view of who the victims are.  I guess my problem is, I also have a different view of who the perpetrators are too.

Well if you want to go down that road, it is also the same argument blinkered conservatives use to support their "all Muslim's" rhetoric.

I was talking to one.  That was my point.

Don't give me that.  There are no moderate Muslims as far you are concerned because those who are moderate are no longer Muslims.  We've argued that before.  I guess the question is, given your definition, how many Muslims are there?

Like I said you are free to follow Islam or moderates. Your choice not mine!

Honestly, get a clue.

Couldn't find even ONE aspect of Islam that is moderate? Say it isn't so...must be scribblet's fault.

Honestly what? That you are a Muslim sympathiser?

Get a grip! There is nothing moderate about this religion and people who practise.

Your choice not mine!

I didn't look.  Tell me.  How many Muslims do you think are on the planet?

The fact is, we are not arguing whether or not moderate Muslims exist.  We are arguing whether or not they are Muslims.

They claim so. You do realize you're just harping on the acceptable casualties argument, yourself...I hope.

Even if only 1%-2% of Muslims....as a figure...are murderous...the cult should be given a pass. The majority aren't murderous after-all. We just have no way of telling which "moderate" will stop being "moderate" and splatter your kid across a stadium. But that's not their fault....of course not.

They are all brainwashed. Moderate or extremists. It just takes one fuse to detonate another bomb. Fancy having one in Toronto?
