bush_cheney2004 Posted June 20, 2015 Report Posted June 20, 2015 ....Time to start addressing the real issues that cause violent crime and that allows mental illness to go untreated. Making it a "hate crime" is certainly no more dramatic or compelling than what happened at a grade school in Connecticut. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

Guns are inseparable from the past, present, and future American narrative. Exactly, likewise his failed narrative that guns don't prevent crimes, as the gun grabbers only point to statistics that include justifiable homicides, leaving out the thousands of crime prevented each year by citizens with guns.....as most example include citizens not shooting criminals, but more often criminals fleeing or surrendering until the police arrive..... In all languages spoken across the globe, the sound of a racking shotgun is clearly understood. Quote

Black Dog Posted June 21, 2015 Report Posted June 21, 2015 I don't know what I'd say, I'd be shocked if an elitist, left leaning personality in the media actually addressed the issue with the same level of passion as they do with these lesser events....... Black Dog Posted June 21, 2015 Report Posted June 21, 2015 Here: John Lott? LOL Ahh, but were talking about homicides, of which, as I said, the numbers are near parity: I was talking about gun deaths. Those other 10,000+ people are still dead. Right.....like how they did with recreational drugs, child porn and illegal movie/music downloads At least try to conceal your erection here. Its sad that people like you focus on controlling something that you never will, instead of working to address the underlying causes of violent crime and treatment for mental illness........... Every other civilized country has more effective gun control and less gun crime as a result. The only difference is those other countries don't have a culture of gun strokers who deem tens of thousands of deaths an acceptable price for their feelings of masculinity. One would think most people, on both sides of the gun rights/control debate would be in favor of reducing violent crime and addressing mental illness. Again: not an either/or. Quote

Derek 2.0 Posted June 21, 2015 Report Posted June 21, 2015 Yes lets see what gun strokers have done for poverty and mental health.... ... Yup. Nothing. "Gun strokers" once supported universal background checks, but "social justice warriors" fought against the inclusion of mental health records and nationwide arrest records within the FBI's NICS program......clearly one doesn't want to trample their privacy rights!!!! My question, what do you think gun control will do for poverty and mental health? Quote
Derek 2.0 Posted June 21, 2015 Report Posted June 21, 2015 John Lott? LOL Can you refute his decades long study? I was talking about gun deaths. Those other 10,000+ people are still dead. Yeah, but if the majority of those other 10000+ people killed themselves with rope or sleeping pills, I doubt you'd be calling for the banning of rope or medication....... At least try to conceal your erection here. Why? I get great pleasure in the fact that the advent of uncontrollable 3D guns will put your mantra of gun control forever out of reach........and your ilk will be forced to actually address the underlying issues. Every other civilized country has more effective gun control and less gun crime as a result. The only difference is those other countries don't have a culture of gun strokers who deem tens of thousands of deaths an acceptable price for their feelings of masculinity. Every other civilized country has lesser rates of poverty, which in turn results in lesser violent crime and established healthcare systems that are able to cope with the mentally ill.........Not to mention, most of these "civilized countries" don't border one of the larger producers and transport hubs of recreational drugs. As stated countless times, your meme of gun control=less crime is absurd..........as used as an example countless times, Mexico has far more stringent gun control than even Canada, yet 4-5 times the rate of gun crime. Inversely, New Zealand or the Czech Republic have far laxer gun laws then most US States, but far less rates of gun crime....... Again: not an either/or. Perhaps not to you, but you've clearly failed on one, and to the best of my knowledge have done little for the later.... Quote
Argus Posted June 21, 2015 Report Posted June 21, 2015 Yes and I for one have certainly seen my fair share of that stuff. However it worries me that some people cant seem to separate fact from fantasy. It's become part of the American cultural landscape, a part of how they see themselves.
