The show with Cliven Bundy was just a warm up. Don't tread on them! So Americans, is this the long-awaited revolution to get even with Obama for being a uppity black man who is pretending to be the president? Or just two more teabagger kooks who will be low grade worm food? Disgusting! Quote

monty16 Posted June 10, 2014 Author Report Posted June 10, 2014 Were they black then, the policemen they shot? I don't know. It's not something we pay much attention to in B.C. They were cops that treaded on their guns or something like that? Quote
GostHacked Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/06/09/cliven-bundy-las-vegas-shooters_n_5475249.html?&ncid=tweetlnkushpmg00000016 LAS VEGAS (AP) — The married couple who police say killed three people in Las Vegas, including two police officers, had been kicked off a ranch where anti-government protesters faced down federal agents earlier this year. Ammon Bundy, the son of rancher Cliven Bundy, tells The Associated Press that Jerad and Amanda Miller were asked to leave his father's ranch after being there for a few days this spring. Ammon Bundy says that while details are still sketchy, the Millers' conduct was the problem. He calls the couple "very radical" and says they didn't "align themselves" with the protest's main issues. They were told to leave by members of a militia that also had come to the ranch in support of Bundy. Now before people go saying OMG THEY WERE AT THE BUNDY RANCH. They were told to leave. Quote

Boges Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 When you're well past your hundredth mass shooting so far this year alone...it starts to look more like a failed state. Were all those shootings caused by anti-establishment right-wing gun nuts that don't appreciate the president being black? Quote
eyeball Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 I don't know, I don't even know why that would matter. For all we know this collapsing of civilization could have more to do with a disappreciation for a president who never delivered on promises to close Guantanamo. Quote A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.
Boges Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 (edited) A lot of Gun Crime is what it's always been: Gang Shootings, Drug Crime, Domestic Violence even. It's these public mass shootings that make the headlines but do they make up a proportionally significant number of total gun crime? Edited June 10, 2014 by Boges Quote
eyeball Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 It just might given how far most other types of crime has fallen, with the possible exception of white collar crime. Quote A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.
Boges Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 It just might given how far most other types of crime has fallen, with the possible exception of white collar crime. But you said there are "hundreds of shootings" this year alone. You need some citation as to what was the nature of those shootings or this idea that these militia right-wing gun-nut shootings make up a statistically significant number of total shootings, or it's just conjecture. Even though many of the mass shootings are caused by different reasons too. The dude in Fresno seemed more upset with his lot in life with the ladies than he did with his view on government and police. Quote
eyeball Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 I said well over a hundred, 115 to be exact, as reported on CBC news last night. I don't know about you but that suggests a world going mad to me. Like stressed out rats in an overcrowded cage I guess.. eyeball Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 Maybe it's the financial pressure of white collar crime manifesting itself throughout society - a sort of a dark trickle down effect if you will. Quote A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

No, it actually doesn't, and anyway, they're actually not. I suspect the CBC is casting a wide net when it gives you a number like that.
