Who woukd you vote for?

I can vote for no one since I don't live in a Canadian parliamentary riding. I live in a foreign country.

  • Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location?
  • The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).

I would like to give Justin time to find his worth as to prove if he is for the people or big business... We will learn as he will, is the party #1 or the people. I just like that fact that he sent the Senate packing from the party to sit more or less as independant from th party time will tell.

Another pro-Justin Trudeau plug? You're certainly enthusiastic about him!

The longer the Duffy scandal gets drawn out, the less people will care about it. The Duffy scandal is small potatoes compared to the Ontario Liberal gas plant scandal, and it didn't take long for Ontario voters to forget about that. In the end, it's going to be boil down to TV propaganda commercials, because the average Canadian voter can't handle anything much more complicated than a pageant.

Small potatoes perhaps in terms of dollars involved, but much bigger potatoes in that it will involve a criminal proceeding that could land right back on Harper, or at least his chief aide. Duff's lawyer has a big time argument in why his client is charged for recieving the check but not Wright for writing it. Beyond that he has a good case for getting the charges dropped because a major witness (Harper) has made himself unavailable. But not before a whole lot of dirty laundry gets exposed.

If there was evidence that Wright committed fraud wouldn't he have been charged by now? What are they waiting for?

Did the liberal party of Canada ever pay back the millions they stole from us??

The evidence against Wright is as obvious as it is against Duffy. Why they haven't charged him, who knows for sure but it's not hard to figure that in all likelihood they have not charged him so they can compell him to testify.

You'd better hope that's not the case or Duffy will easily beat the rap. Everything in Wright's personal and business background leads reasonable people to believe his stated motive - that he was only trying to force Duffy to do the right thing - and pay the money back! The RCMP obviously came to the same conclusion - regardless of how much you would like to slander Wright with your charges of corruption - a man who refused to accept any compensation for his role as Chief of Staff.

Why didn't Wright take his evidence to the police and so the law could force Duffy to pay the money back, since when did the police allow people to take the law into their own hands?

No denying it...thinks are looking pretty rosy for the Liberals at this point in time.

of course, it/that lead won't be maintained... but it begins to add more credence to 'Harper talking his walk in the snow'. Where the CPC takes the spotlight for months on end with a leadership race... where a shiny new leader comes forward: MacKay, Kenney, Moore... Prentice is out... maybe Brad Wall, etc............

Of course it looks good for them, they have kept their leader hidden and away from the commons. Eventually he will have to come out and answer questions and then people will then realize they are not going to put their future in his hands.

those polling numbers gotta sting, hey PIK? But what about Harper... what's your call on who replaces him in an attempt to 'save the day'?

Traditionally CPC numbers rise during the summer months when they aren't on the job. I expect we'll see even more conservative attack ads now.

"let me be clear on this"...let us know when Harper answers a question.

He has been very clear.
