All The Old Timers Still Kicking It, Eh?

Responding to Shady. I'm suddenly having problems with quoting.

Obviously, Kimmy hasn't gotten over whatever got her nose dis-jointed. She took a licking from AW - that's what I'm getting from her reaction.

Her faithful co-horts may keep denying that for her (chances are they took a licking from AW, too  )....but please, action speaks louder than words. If Kimmy can't stop talking and denigrating AW even though the latter is already gone, obviously AW is the bee in Kimmy's bonnet.

AW still stings even after long gone! It stings awfully too, by the way Kimmy caterwauls. :D

I've had quite a few skirmishes with AW myself, but I must say I couldn't help but have respect for her. We may not agree on quite a few things (and I've said some awfully rude things to her during our heated arguments), but she's one classy opponent. She doesn't take things personally.

In my view, we suffered a loss.

I agree. They started on this back on December 1st, and they still can't let it go. It tells you something.

December 12th.

AW had only two dudgeon settings... high dudgeon and extreme dudgeon.

Simply leaving and not posting anymore would simply have not have created a sufficiently dramatic spectacle for an occasion of such magnitude.

Again. Read what I meant to say, not what you think I meant to say. Again. It's not my problem if you insist on interpreting what I said instead of what I said I meant to say when I said what I said I meant to say. Capice?

And now again today. Perhaps your New Years Resolution should be to finally move on.

It's a thread discussing "old timers". I think that the recent, highly public departure of one of the oldest of the "old timers" is quite topical.

I think that she will join the likes of Mr Canada and Oleg Bach as community legends who are remembered long past their retirement.

And since your like-minded cohorts were most likely siding with you when you were debating with AW, of course they got
stung, too. I could tell they're still smarting from it, too.

The reactions from all those who are attacking/ making fun of AW now that she can't face them mano-a-mano gives me a visual from a comedy of a bunch of cowards trying to play courageous - doing all the fist waving - now that the fearsome monster is gone. :)

READ AND UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU READ.

It's a thread discussing "Old Timers STILL KICKING IT."

You're the first one to bring up AW with your gorilla-chest-thumping comment.

That didn't take long either - post #5.

GOLLY! And you actually brought the thread off-topic for AW!

Here's to you, American Woman!

Yep, from almost the very first post. And your right, the usual suspects must've felt it as well, because they've gotten pretty worked up about it too with continued responses over a three week period. Priceless!

You make a post to incite people and then cry about it when they respond? Stay classy, Shady.

Mine was an observation, that should be pretty obvious regarding the fact that others can't seem to let a certain former member go. Regardless, no crying, just disbelief and continued amazement.

As to why people don't stick around indefinitely, lives and prioritizes change as we get older.

I guess I'll say it then, maybe people leave because they don't like how this site is being moderated, or they don't like the interpretation that the moderators/admin. have.

I can honestly say that I have had concerns in the past and have barred myself from visiting MLW.

It was never because of any other member here that I have had heated debates with that would cause me to leave and not return.
