On Guard for Thee
The truth about Obamacare is that it has been voted for by both sides of the aisle in congress, scrutinized by the supreme court, and voted on by the American people. (Which is why Obama still resides in the White House) So the Tea Party crackpots don't have much of a leg to stand on. Well except I did hear an interview recently with one of their spokespeople who said "We are not a democracy, we are a republic" DUH

This isnt "ObamaCare" its "CongressCare". You're actually bragging because you spend far more than us for similar results? Of course.....what kind of maroon actually wants to wait months for a simple MRI ? What are Canadians waiting for ? This question has never been answered. Edited October 23, 2013 by bush_cheney2004

waldo
That being said, ours is still leagues ahead of yours in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. No, they don't get anything more for their extra money. You simply ration it by denying medical services to tens of millions of people. And even by cutting off all those people, and paying twice as much, you still don't get better overall care. That is simply pathetic in terms of cost efficiency. No real conservative would support such a system. speaking of... a recent Bloomberg analysis that positions the United States near the bottom of healthcare efficiency... following up on the earlier study/analysis within the 'U.S. Dead Last in Healthcare' MLW thread that spoke to significant gaps/failings in the actual delivery of healthcare to U.S. citizens:

Good to know that once they get the software fixed... you'll be all for the ACA (just so long as it's not referred to as Obamacare, right?) Shady
It's funny to watch people now try to push the creation of the unaffordable care act on Republicans. You know it must be working swell when that happens! Lol.

You seem to want to play fast & loose with the Congressional movement of bills between the House-Senate. The initial House bill that included health provisions was the legislation initiation point. How did that vote go?

bush_cheney2004
It doesn't help to blame Canada's CGI Federal...'cause they will just blame somebody else: CGI Federal Inc., the lead contractor on the new U.S. health insurance website and a subsidiary of Montreal-based CGI Inc., is pinning some of the blame for the rocky launch of the site on a subcontractor. The problem-plagued launch on Oct. 1 of the new Obamacare website — healthcare.gov — has left many people unable to sign up. In written testimony posted on the website of the U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee, CGI Federal senior vice-president Cheryl Campbell said the first set of issues for users dealt with the "enterprise identity management (or EIDM) function provided by another contractor, which allows users to create secure accounts." http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal-s-cgi-faces-scrutiny-over-troubled-obamacare-site-1.2187662

In line with the GOPs stumbling-bumbling U.S. government shutdown and its resulting record low popularity... considering Obamacare was the principal reason behind the GOP U.S. government shutdown. - NBC/WSJ poll: 47% prefer a Democratically-controlled Congress to the 39% who support a Republican-controlled Congress. - Public Policy Polling: polls found 37 Republican incumbents trailing Democrats in 61 districts. considering the government "slimdown" was only punted down the road 4 months, considering we get to see 'round 2' of this shortly, do you think the GOP has any more trix-up-it's-sleeves... to further erode it's plunging popularity? 2014 Shady, what say you... what does your "expertise" in American politics suggest for a 2014 U.S. House?
