Mohamed Siad, the man who showed the crack vid to the 3 reporters, was stabbed in jail. He's fine and in segregation now. I wonder if he kept the video for insurance purposes. Apparently, he was afraid to collect the Gawker money because it was too public.

According to newspaper reports, he is still shopping it, and the police have a copy too.

Perhaps the noose is tightening around our esteemed Mayors neck.....better be a huge noose and nylon to boot.

Cant wait for brother Doug to come charging out and cry "Star conspiracy again"........only to be told it is the TO Sun at the helm of this one.

Jeez, PIK.

Look, let's reach some common ground to dilute the hyper-partisanship:

I admit that Trudeau is a smug, inexperienced douchebag with weak liberal ideology, and dependent on his father's legacy.....

....and you admit that Ford is a colossal and repugnant idiot, a reactionary knuckledragger who achieved his position by virtue of the monumental ignorance of local voters.

And then there's sweet peace in the land........

“There is a limit to how much we can constantly say no to the political masters in Washington. All we had was Afghanistan to wave. On every other file we were offside. Eventually we came onside on Haiti, so we got another arrow in our quiver."

Ok you've seen the latest youtube on Ford. Now not even I can spin this one. There he is Friday night sloshed walking down the street-alone, one step away from falling and hurting himself, let alone exposing himself to

potential harm from an angry citizen.

I think this drunk behaviour sheds unintentional evidence showing that when this guy is sloshed he could end up just about anywhere posing with just about anyone and not remembering a thing the next day let alone a week later when he's shown a picture of him posing with some guy on the street who ends up being a drug pusher, etc..

His drinking is exposing himself to erratic behaviour that exposes him to danger from his own self inflicted injuries, i.e., falling, or being attacked by someone who can't stand him let alone negative publicity.

Is it any wonder his team has bailed on him?

He's doing a slow public melt down and its sad to watch.

...

Its time he admits he has a drinking problem and gets help. The longer he denies it the worse this will get.

This latest tape will turn even his staunchest supporters against him. I am not morally judging him. I am

in no position to morally judge anyone. I do hope he gets help. Its sad to watch him disintegrate publically.

Don't you think Ford's "staunchest supporters" are the drinking buddy type who regale each other with tales of their drunken escapades and snicker about it?

Mayor Ford DROVE to the Danforth and staggered around drunk and babbling.

That's a hilarious story for drinking buddies to howl about. They'll like him more!

And how many people in Toronto are there who regularly drink too much and laugh about their antics and hangovers?

Likely too many to count.

Of course, it doesn't look like he'll win another election anyway, but I doubt his core supporters will abandon him.

See?

Yeah because polls have been soooooo accurate lately.

Out of all the things Ford has been accused of doing, getting hammered in public is probably one of the more benign things.

Anybody ever here of a guy called ralph kline. Listening to talk shows lately and the ROC is so sick of the constant attacks on ford. Ford is doing his job and if he wants to get drunk let him. Toronto's media has made a complete laughing stock of the city. It actually getting ebarressing now. Ford is going to be around for a while.

Nobody cares if you or I stumbled down the Danforth after a few too many; provided we weren't driving. However, it shows a serious lack of judgement and control for any mayor, let alone one accused of alcoholism and drug abuse. A smarter man with substance issues would make a sober appearance and then pound the booze in private.

I don't live in Toronto but the people of TO ... is that the best you can do for a MAYOR? he is an embarassment to most Ontarians, if not the country. When one is in politics and especially a leader such as mayor, premier and PM, one has to toe the line with respectability, which Fords doesn't seem to have. What is the mayor of Toronto? A laughing stock, a substance suffer and is in denial of ALL his health problem, physical and mental. I don't think other cities would put up this kind of mayor for too long.

A drunken Ford staggering down the street is simply another incident showing a clear pattern about Mayor Ford's character, or lack there of.

Here is another: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/toronto/rob-ford-sought-meeting-with-inmate-in-after-hours-jail-visit/article13707729/

That request was also declined and the mayor departed – leaving an unsolved mystery within the correctional service about why the mayor visited at such an odd hour, why he was indirect about the purpose of his visit and why he needed to speak with Mr. Bellissimo, a 43-year-old who has had run-ins with police and has what numerous sources describe as a history of drug-related activity.

Taken on their own, these things might raise a few eyebrows, not much more. When it is put all together, it is clear the mayor is a drunk, possibly a drug addict with close ties to people with a history of drug dealing and/or use. Certainly not mayoral material by any standard of measure.

Indeed! Toronto's media are not professionals. They are bullies. Ford may get drunk now and then but his main sin (unforgiveable to the lefties) was to beat a politically correct soft-head. The so-called progressives are poor losers. Just look at the relentless personal attacks on PM Harper.

Yikes. Check out that picture. Nobody has ever accused Ford of being the cutest guy around but he looks like a caricature of himself in this image. He appears to me to be pretty tanked.

Apparently the criticism of him here is less that he got sloshed and more that he didn't let his handlers handle him. Same with the prison thing. Did he expect to be allowed into a prison after hours just cuz he's the mayor?

He is a good mayor that is what people want. Just becaue the elitist snobs of toronto are embarressed ,to bad. The campaign against ford is what people are shaking thier heads at, not ford himself. All you have to do is listen to talk shows and read letters to editors in non toronto papers, to see that ford is well like across the country. You want to blame somebody then blame the star.

No, but what are they are? I don't remember any personal attacks, only performance as the PM and therefore they would be criticisms, which every Canadian is entitled to do.

Maybe you shouldn't make personal attacks when criticizing personal attacks.

He really needs to get help. This was never more obvious than when campaign manager, who is a close family friend, resigned and urged him to get help. Ford is sick and should get the treatment that he needs.

Ford is way over weight, he probably has diabetes, which he shouldn't be drinking, especially beer. The stress of the job is adding to his weight and if doesn't smart up, he'll probably die in office and then his close friends will probably say, "why didn't we help him!" As the mayor, does anyone know if citizens have the right to know his health concerns??

And these things weren't readily apparent when he was elected?

I'm very skeptical that people want him to get help for his well being, they want him to get help because then he won't be an acting mayor and they can use that against him if he runs again.

You should never make judgments about people's health based on their weight. He could be perfectly fine. Not all obese people have diabetes. In fact, obesity-related diabetes is more common in the US, which may possibly be due to the use of High-Fructose Corn Syrups in many products but there isn't enough studies into it. People's weight and health are infinitely complex systems, which makes it nearly impossible to isolate interactions.
