cybercoma Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 Imagine... people being excited about the Liberals during their leadership campaign. I've never seen anything like it before. Quote
The_Squid Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 Call me when we get closer to an election.... Can't really get too excited over these kinds of poll numbers. Quote
scribblet Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 Agree about being closer to the election. IMO it will only get better for the Liberals though and if Trudeau winds the leadership we could see the 'second coming'. Quote Hey Ho - Ontario Liberals Have to Go - Fight Wynne - save our province
cybercoma Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 I can't wait for the commercials of Trudeau calling a cabinet minister a "piece of shit" over and over and over and over and over again. Quote
Guest Peeves Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 shouldn'tbe a discredit to him given that the Trudeaus are experts on shit, or merde Quote
eyeball Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 I can't wait for the commercials of Trudeau calling a cabinet minister a "piece of shit" over and over and over and over and over again. Maybe that'll make voters more immune to expletives and more focused on why they're being evoked. But probably not. punked Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 I'll just wait for the Canadian people to get to know Justin "If Harper is in charge......then Quebec should become its own country" Trudeau before I look at any poll numbers. The man is looking to tear the country apart because that is the only thing the Liberals have to run on. While the Conservatives and NDP are looking to bring this country together and argue over vision the guy who might be the next Liberal leader was out trying to rally the separatists. Anyone looking to support that guy over the other two should get their heads examined. Canada is a country with Quebec in it and it took 20 years and the Liberals to crash for our political leaders to kill the Bloc. We are better off with out them and the Liberals. Quote

TimG Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 It is a bit too soon to predict the resurgence of the Liberals but the shifting polls do show that support for the NDP is pretty shallow. Quote
Fletch 27 Posted October 15, 2012 Author Report Posted October 15, 2012 It's exciting! Watching the NDP fizzle and turn into a fart in the wind is telling. People are SWITCHING from the NDP to either the liberals or the Tories! Split voting and another Harper majority. Mulcair will need to answer to his party..... The media will continue to hype Justin and mark my words.. The trend for the NDP will be in the other direction. And the tories will continue to grow Quote

Fletch 27 Posted October 16, 2012 Author Report Posted October 16, 2012 I can one-up that. Tommy Mulcair, in and effort to pull votes, will announce that he has a life-threatening if not terminal yeast infection. Quote
Fletch 27 Posted October 16, 2012 Author Report Posted October 16, 2012 There is just so many Liberal leadership campaigns on! It's like the NDP leadership campaign but with 3 times as many knives and daggers! And there was Alot in the Ndp's! Quote

In fact, since the federal election the Nanos poll have been described as an outlier polls. Ekos, Forum Research, Environics, Abacus, Ipsos Reid, Harris Decima, etc have all been reporting similar number. It is suggested that the Nanos poll tend to inflate the Libs number while underestimating the NDPs. Quote "All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence; then success is sure." - Mark Twain

Reason why I said that because multiple polling companies shows similar result with Nanos being the odd one outside of the norm. cybercoma Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 The problem is that Nanos has been an outlier in the past, but more accurate than the other polls that were in agreement. Quote

Mr.Canada Posted October 30, 2012 Report Posted October 30, 2012 You never really know until closer to an election when a lot of polls have been done. No one was expecting the Tories to win a majority in the last election. Polls aren't always as accurate as people would like to think. No one was expecting the Tories to win a majority in the last election. Polls aren't always as accurate as people would like to think. Incorrect. Close to the election - the day before - 4 polls were released they were pretty close. A smallish majority was considered within the realm of likely.
