bleeding heart Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 Dont insult Jersey Shore with the comparison. snooki appears knowledgeable in contrast. Mr.Canada Posted September 28, 2012 Report Posted September 28, 2012 I think almost everyone online is politically pretty rabid and partisan. eyeball Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 I think almost everyone online is politically pretty rabid and partisan. Much more so then the general public is in the real world. I don't doubt there are some pretty rabid feelings as far as politics go both online and in the real world, but I seriously doubt people are anywhere near as partisan as you'd like to believe. Sorry for peeing on your pancakes, sorta. Quote A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

cybercoma Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 I don't know why anyone would bother pointing out to Shady that he lives in a fantasy world, but here's more blatant racism from the Right. "Not to sound racist, but it's called the White House for a reason." Quote
Sleipnir Posted October 20, 2012 Report Posted October 20, 2012 I think Pew's findings are accurate, and are definitely refected in this forum as well. Well one can contradict that study with another study as shown below "Conservatives whiny and insecure: study" from The Sun, a conservative news site. http://www.torontosun.com/2011/12/05/conservatives-whiny-and-insecure-study Quote "All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence; then success is sure." - Mark Twain
BC_chick Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 I've only ever blocked one person and that's because they could never make a point without throwing in a personal insult. Sleipnir Posted October 28, 2012 Report Posted October 28, 2012 I think whether you're left wing or right wing - both have an equal proportion of extremist who are intolerance of opposing opinions. Quote "All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence; then success is sure." - Mark Twain
bleeding heart Posted October 28, 2012 Report Posted October 28, 2012 I think whether you're left wing or right wing - both have an equal proportion of extremist who are intolerance of opposing opinions. Probably, but I don't know that it has much to do with extremism, in a political sense. Very "moderate" liberals and conservatives, as well as self-described "centrists," are just as prone to acting aggressively or insultingly, I think.
