Good idea - congratulations! Concentrate on what made your nation great...and also concentrate on efforts that will sustain that greatness. If you have faults and defects - admit them - you can not be right till you admit your are wrong (sometimes) - America still has great potential but one must be honest with themseles and not cheer on a losing situation. Institutionalized attitudes regarding greatness can lead to a dellusion where one imagines himself as great while his foundation is rotting and the nation has a horrible case of athletes foot. Keep going and - wash those feet...I as a Canadian still have faith in our big brother.

Happy 4th of July to the United States of America!

Happy Birthday, Jack.

I want to be in the class that ensures the classless society remains classless.

The anti-royalist battle cry was "No king but Jesus" ---------it is supposed to be an in god we trust society - not in man we trust. Man is not trustworthy...in part this way of thinking is what created the American form of governement - "by the people" with no king above them other than GOD - this kept tyrants from attempting to take command.

I too add my best wishes to our American friends on this 4th of July. In addition to the love I send your way, let me add that I am relieved that we share such a long border with you. I cringe to think what it would be like if Canada had 7 or 8 countries hugging our huge border to the south.

July 4th is a day i like to acknowledge all the wonderful things that makes America great. There are countless reasons, and Canada couldn't really have a better country to be it's #1 ally and share our long border with. I have many American friends, and they are wonderful people.

Canadians, including me, tend to get caught up in the criticism we throw at the US and its government all the time (criticism it may often deserve), and tend to forget the many positive things it has brought to this world.

So again, happy Independence Day to all my American friends!
