I listened to people in the committee hearings and there's so too much differences, East vs West and I think each province would be better to deal with this. Because the provinces can't write any laws with the force of the Criminal Code behind them. Only the federal government can do that. The registry doesn't help them with that. First, not everyone registers their guns if they don't use them but still have them, and second, if someone owns guns, they already have a license, and that's information the police already have access to.
