Thread drift -> please take it back to this political test.

So he gets to make all of these bullshit arguments against me and I'm just not to respond to them? Then why don't you address the original drift or delete all the drift posts instead of leaving them there?

You really don't understand the meaning of strawman argument, do you?

Uh, strawman? More likely passive aggressive.

Look, e-squared^whatever, just do the godamned-test - and post your results here. I did. And many others too.

If I cannot answer the questions, I cannot finish the test. And if I cannot finish the test, I cannot get a result.

Also, the set of political beliefs is not limited to two dimensions.

Found the questions were a little too black and white.

Not sure why everybody likes this test so much. Ambiguity abounds...

Agreed. Nevertheless, the questions are fun/irritating. I particularly like the limit of 4 possible answers.

Argus, I disagree. I didn't use vulgar language or take the Lord's name in vain.

I merely pointed out that e^f*ckU is being OCD or passive/aggressive or whatever/it/is/now and not posting results - while you, me and many others have done so.

Polite Note to Others: Take the test in the OP, post your result here and maybe, eventually, I'll add them to the graph.

What's the difference?

Both parties are Statist, both NDP and Liberals believe in top-down-command authoritarian control, both believe in the supremacy of the state above all else including the individual.

Thankful to have become a free thinker.

I guess I'm more left wing today than I was a bit ago:

This was me before, btw.

I find it interesting that people seem pleased to tell others that they have an unbalanced view of the world, so much so that from one of the other tests, they seemed happy to mention that they are greatly aligned with communism. Do they answer the questions with an outcome in mind? Of course it's easy to bias your results, but if you truly are receiving an extreme result with your honest answers how could you not reflect upon your views and think, gee, should I want to be a communist? Or is that amount of self reflection simply more than most can ask of themselves? For example, I can be pro choice, pro gay marriage, a gun owner, for pipelines, not think Harper is the devil, and not think that the NDP would ruin us, I can think those things because they are rational, fact based points of view. Which is why I end up near the middle on these tests. Being an outlier with an unbalanced view of the world isnt something to be proud of, your system of belief might as well be a religion, you can't actually believe that all things in the world would be better if they conformed to one ideological bent, can you?

Politicians think that, as do people who invest a lot of credibility in them.

I'm about as far to the SE as you can go on this test now. It's probably more a result of cringing as far away from the other ends of the spectra as possible than any indication of support for any particular flavour thereof - a stranger in a bent world. Alienated on several divergent levels.

Retook the test. I've definitely become a bit more libertarian. I'm usually around -4.5, -4.5

Now I'm:

Economic Left/Right: -5.0

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.9

I'm apparently very right wing economically.

So you're not even a little conservative after all.
